New spell effect on certain shadow spells

Has anyone else seen this, is it intended?

Since the patch I've been seeing what looks like a pink version of the soulstone visual everytime I cast Demonic Circle: Summon, Teleport, Dark Soul, Soulshatter or Shadowfury. It only appears for a split second though:



It only seems to appear when casting either instant or very short cast time spells and it looks really odd, like the animation doesn't actually complete.

It's the only one OP I don't notice any other different spells other then soul fire which is well a fire spell but leaves an after effect where it actually impacts. Anyway yes It's intended.

I've seen it as well when casting a portal. My raid-mates see it as well once I pointed it out to them
