Randomness is part of loot and they've made it clear they like it way, so regardless of the quality of your idea, which is high subjective to begin with, this is never going to happen.

Its a bonus but set so low and takes so long to cap out for many that its not really seen as a substitute for not getting your gear. You don't end up consoled that "at least I got VP". You end up frustrated because "I didn't get my gear and THAT'S all the VP I got?"

As I said, I'm starting to think that RNG has outlived its usefulness in certain aspects of the game.

The problem with RNG in WoW is that its RNG set by the Casino owners ... hence the RNG is in their favor.

I'm bitching because 70 hours a month on this game is not enough to progress. I don't have time to do dailies if I want to enjoy the game. I enjoy it what? 3 - 4 hours on sunday?

Yes but shit is real then. You're most likely decked out and are progressing towards higher goals. I just want to gear up to be able to find a pug or guild that wants someone that can raid from 23.00 - 02.00.. But guess what? No guilds.

The situations are different but the reasons are the same.

They dont but here is the difference.

You have the same chance at loot if you are in a group as if you where in a lfr. The difference is with a static group you know your piece will eventually drop and you will get it. Also you can count on atleast 1 person in that group getting a drop and you feel better about it cause it helps the raid as a whole.

I spend 1,5 hours in LFR. - Not so easy to find players late in the night. Queues tend to be long.

    On your server maybe.

BTW I'm sure it's been said already but I wanted to echo that this sort of "problem" is what valor points are supposed to fix. Unless the real problem is just that you don't like to lose.

Just checked your armory. You have 3 pieces you can upgrade with vp. I do see all the blues and I do see why you are frustrated. You have had bad luck for 2 weeks. RNG is like this it happens. You want to make getting loot faster. I do not, I like the way it is staggered.

This is simply a point you and I will have to agree to disagree on, no hard feelings okay?

LFR feels just like a sleazy whore house ...and it makes you feel like you are one of the workers in said house and the bosses are the joes.

Blizzard did that to LFR, and I hate them for it.

But OP, isn't your idea already existed in game?

Not gotten loot from LFR? You get VP, and eventually with enough VP you will you get a piece of upgrade, which is similar to your idea of Kill Boss > earn points > buy loot.

Then there is also the dailies. Do dailies, earn VP, buy loot. Earn token at the same time, chance for bonus loot.

As for drops, you are NOT supposed to expect to get a piece every day, even raiding normal and HC, you won't always get upgrade, but the surprise is nice when one of those weeks multiple pieces dropped for you.

This week I have gotten some nice upgrade I ended up even passing the tier head token from Sha of Fear for another Shammy because I felt sorry for him (pure Shammy token drop week and I won all of them except gloves which I already got from Sha of Anger). Don't expect to get loot for certain in raids, then you won't be disappointed, and when weeks like this comes to play it would be a pleasant surprise.

Make the time. You choose the path of RNG gear in LFR and you complain about the the RNG. You have the option to go down the safe road and spend your time on dailies and valor, where you are sure to get at least one piece of gear roughly every 1½ week that outshine any LFR piece you can get and would actually spend less time doing it then you currently are in LFR.

Don't use the lack of time as an argument for changing the game, when the game already have the options available to people who doesn't have the time to do the time consuming things in the game.

The current valor system only fixes burning through content to fast .. it doesn't actually fix any loot issues.

    1 week

    5 LFRs - 1,5 hours each = 7,5 hours a week from LFR.
    Arena Capping - 1 hours ( cap is 3k ish - + progressing ) = 1 hour
I enjoy some dedicated time with friends etc transmog - really enjoy the game? I mean that's what it is about = 4 hours

    7,5+1+4 = 15 hours give or take. * 4 weeks = 60 hours for 4 weeks. 4 weeks = 28 days. 2 more days is about 3 hours so roughly 65 hours a week of gametime.

Won't happen. Blizz wants RNG. Don't like it? Play some other game. RNG isn't going to go away.

Blizzard should at least respect my choice in the game. I mean I wish to play for fun in the same way progress. But forcing me into doing daily to progress is not optional. Just cross it out. I can't do dailys for every day in 3 weeks. SORRY.

Where the f*** are you playing that it takes 7,5 hours to clear lfr ?
Oh and maybe search for a small guild instead that raids just once a week. Will be way more efficient than spending 8 hours on lfr.
