Yeah, but I'm just trying to think about how my dad would feel adding another person that he barely knows anything about. Plus, there's some political stuff going on--my parents are conservative, and so is my brother in law, but there is a good chunk of liberals in the mix too. I just don't want it to be a point of contention or anything.
Also, said mother in law's funds are pooled with ours, so do we slap her name on all of the gifts we're giving or make her buy separately for people she doesn't know or what? I really want Mr. Eternal and I to just do our gifts as a nuclear family (you know, dad and mom and baby-to-be), but that leaves my mother in law with no clue on what to get anyone, again because she doesn't really know anyone. The converse is true. They don't know her well enough to gift-give for her, either.
