I heard it was full of hackers and the devs weren't even banning them, because it would mean banning almost their entire playerbase.

And it is not the Day Z stand alone.

This is normal for new players. Till Jan when they plan to add a tutorial. Pretty much just kill people. Look at the screen, if you're in a base you'll see shield icons. Try to fight your way to those and hold E close to them to sabotage them and watch them explode. From a safe distance. While killing people.
