Wow that's insane. Good for him for training so hard.

Thats insane, but I hate to point out one little thing,

if you watch the LoTR shot, leoglas has two reach behind him to take the arrows, while this bloke has them in hand ready, wouldn't noramlly be a issue but when your timing it down to seconds like this video is, it makes a difference

    but yea still fair play

If Legolas was the Master Archer they portrayed him to be, the arrows would already be in his hand as well.

And if you listened to the video you would have heard that master archers said what was down in writing ( 3 arrows in 1.5 seconds or 10 in the air before the first has landed) was impossible,so their portrayal at the time would have been correct

Lars Anderson, Lars Anderson, Lars Anderson.
    But he's fast.
I wonder though, about plate armor, i am not sure that good plate could be penetrated by his half drawn bow.
    There are different chainmails too.

Plate armor's actually very vulnerable to piercing. And bashing. In fact, plate's not very protective compared to padded chainmail.

interesting yeah but you gotta wonder how much force is behind any of those shots considering he doesn't draw the bow much or at all half the time haha

    That narration.

Kind of reminds me of how the old sniping techniques that were used in WW1 and before, (single person) was lost and then had to be relearned afterwards to what we now know as 'modern' sniping with a spotter and a gunner.

Enough to use a blunt tip to penetrate past chain mail.

It is actually harder to hold the arrows on your hand and shoot at the same time if it wasn't obvious.
Many archers use an anchor point, mostly is a pull back from the bow to the side of their cheek and the string is basically touching your nose. It takes a lot of training / skill to shoot without an anchor point.

When was Legolas ever referred to as a master archer? He was just a prince of elves and just a part of the Fellowship.
