Alright so the weekend is almost here and I have planned to watch each and every bond movie that I can before it's over

So because of that I thought I would put up a poll to see which actor people think played James Bond the best.

I don't really like Bond movies, Goldfinger was the only good one really. Others vary from okay to shockingly awful.

But the answer is obviously Sean Connery.

I really like Daniel Craig's interpretation of it. Skyfall was fantastic, sure a few parts didnt make sense, but fuckit its a bond movie afterall.

I liked Pierce Brosnan the most for various reasons. Not a fan of Daniel Craig though.

I think Connery, Moore, and Brosnan all played a good Bond, but I'm going to go with Brosnan. To me, he is the perfect modern Bond. In my opinion, Craig is too stoic and macho to capture the light-hearted and caring side of Bond effectively. I did happen to enjoy Casino Royale, though I think that had more to do with the strength of the script than Daniel Craig's performance.

Roger moore is my alltime favorite. It might be because he played in my favorite bond movies.

Daniel craig is no good as james bond. Casino royale killed it for me when he asked his girl "how do i look?". James Bond would NEVER be that insecure.

Brosnan and Craig are pretty good. Each have their strengths. For example, Craig had the "YOU SCRATCHED MY BALLS" line from the 2006 version of Casino Royale, but he's far too much about talking. The end scene of that film was just too long though. Too much "You're my girl" to extend the movie, even if the rest kicked ass. Craig just has the overall smooth killer and intelligent agent thing down, but he talks far too much.

Brosnan on the other hand, he was good at the subtle humor that perhaps wouldn't have been seen as a joke, but more cheeky than anything. Craig didn't have this. For example, when he was leaving M's home through the lift after breaking in, and she tells him "not to ever break in again", he just mutters "alright".

Bond is always supposed to be a smooth character, but Brosnan totally nailed it. He was good at action scenes, but in Die another Day for example, when the rock falls in front of the window from the fire at the clinic, you sorta hear him sigh and that look on his face almost says "WELL FUCK THAT SHIT LET THE BALD HALF NAKED KOREAN ESCAPE I DONT GIVE A SHIT ANY MORE".

He's got a sort of laziness about him when things don't look good for his character, but lots of determination when things do look good. Oh, then there's the whole "AHHH" yelp he lets out whenever he falls. Rolling down the Millennium Dome onto the lines? "AHHH". Going over the edge of a cliff in an ice-buggy? "AHHH". Getting sliced in the leg by a guy with a sword? "AHHH". Being electrocuted by 100,000 V? "AHHH".

I don't disagree with a thing you said but in my view with Craig (and the reason he gets my vote) is that these are truly the beginning of Bond's career as a 00. He starts off competent and arrogant but he is slowly forming into the smooth man we know bond to be from previous generations.

I might add that though Craig is my favorite he and Brosnon are my generation so I am inherently biased. If I had grown up with Moore and Connery and the lot I would likely side with them but I just enjoy the newer bonds.

I have not seen all the bond movies but I liked Roger Moore the most!

I saw my first bond movie when brosnon was bond... I quickly saw each bond actor after that. I have not seen a craig movie, but even though connery was the last of the bonds I have seen, I still thought he was the best bond.

I like Timothy Dalton's movies alot. I just thought he suited to be a bad ass Bond. Ofc Sean Connery is basicly neck and neck with Timothy.

Pierce Brosnan was the best Bond, though all his movies save the first suffered from pretty horrendous writing. Still, he nailed the character.

I find it hard to say who's the best. In my opinion there are good Bond's and bad Bond's. I like Sean Connery and Pierce Brosnan and I don't like Daniel Craig, George Lazenby and Timothy Dalton. Roger Moore is okay in my book!

As for films, that would be much easier. First off, I think Goldfinger is the best as Bond is driving an Aston Martin DB5 with some pretty cool features. After that I'd say 2 films from the Brosnan era, so Tomorrow Never Dies, The World is Not Enough.

As for Daniel Craig, as far as I'm concerned he ruined James Bond for me. After watching Casino Royale I kinda felt that they'd ruined James Bond and barrely couldn't be bothered to watch Quantum of Solace. Did that anyway and hated it! Definitly not going to watch Skyfall and until there is a new actor playing Bond I'm pretty sure that I won't be watching any of the new films.

I'm not a big fan of Craig. I feel like there's something a bit off about the way he plays the character.

james bond uses guns i dont like guns, guns are rubbish. i much prefer a nice screwdriver doesnt hurt, doesnt kill, but what it is very good at is opening doors O-O
