    New Motherboard

    Hey champs!

I'm thinking on upgrading my ASRock M3A790GXH/USB3 for something a little better.

I do not intend on SLI / CF or overclocking (atm but might do it in a couple of years) and need at least 5 SATA III ports.

The most important thing tho is it has to be cheap (as in not above 140€) and reliable.

So far the GIGABYTE GA-990FXA-UD3 got my attention, not only because it has everything i want and decent reviews but also looks killer.

Is this a good decision or should i invest in something else?

No point upgrading motherboard alone, it will not give you any performance gain whatsoever.

    Trolling should be.

I know but spending alot of money at once is so much more painfull. and at least i could make use of my sata 3 hdd and my ssd.
The cpu i would buy depends on how steamroller turns out.

You wont notice any difference between SATA2 and SATA3 in daily use (unless your daily use is copying 100GB porn video collection between two SSDs). Would rather save the money and wait a year for both AMD and Intel to come up with next gen CPUs and then look into which one you'll upgrade to.
