For some reason we haven't seen anyone loot it in ~3k kills, I'll have someone take a look this week.

Logging in before Wrath and killing a joke of a boss in Karazhan isn't "working hard" for anything.
Also communism? Really?
On a related note.. the people who would buy the Uld drake are probably the same idiots who buy the Argent Tournament pets listed there for 3 times what they have sold for on the AH for years.
Wow...I didn't know GC cared about rogue people. I would love to live in a world were only a choice few AoEs broke stealth. It's been way too easy to break stealth ever since Wotlk...because that was the expac that AoE really got out of control. Some classes have/had AoEs and cleaves baked into their single target rotations (like when paladins used to use Divine Storm on cooldown). It's a bit better now, but not by much. It's still way too easy to break stealth without really even trying.
LOL at the use of the term 'veteran' with a QQ over a WRATH mount. Anyway, normally i'd agree with keeping the rarity, but as a mount collector that didn't seriously start raiding till late naxx, i didn't get one.... now i would be ok with that if they had then taken out the other wrath achievement mounts i DID earn, which they did not. All i'm saying is it should be the same all across the board, take em all out or none of them...
I really wanted the plagued proto drake in WotLK, and my guild was a few achievements short of it before its removal in 3.1. Tons of players asked for some way to obtain it post-patch, but Blizz said they wouldn't do it. Now that they finally do....it's BMAH? :/
That's probably the lamest way to reintroduce it.
I love that you're just so upset about this addition that you had to copy and paste the name of the item you were upset about.
Also, I'm sure I'm not alone when I say... what?

The entire basis of your character's worth was that you owned an Arcanite Ripper?

Both the ironbound and rusted are still awarded by ulduar's meta achievements. The rusted on the BMAH is much like the cheap pets that Breanni puts there for 10k, it's there for high prices, but can still be obtained the normal way.
I would be fine with such a system. However, I doubt it would work very well for one reason. There is a reason why old content is visited so much, to the point of warranting changes to make some bosses soloable. People go there because they have fun farming old content and collecting drops (be it transmog sets, mounts, pets, transformation items, reputations, titles, the challenge of beating certain bosses solo, you name it). I, too, do this. It's one of the things I enjoy doing, especially when I have a friend or two with me. Doing such a scaling system "blocking" access to mounts would tremendously reduce old content usage, in my opinion, to the point where old content raids would once again become obsolete unless you were, again, in a guild capable enough to defeat these challenges. The whole purpose of old content farming is really "easily smash through old content for cool looking cosmetic rewards", or in the case of people like Mionelol, doing harder solo challenges simply for the challenge of it. A scaling system, even if optional, would ruin many people's fun, at the cost of keeping vanity items unique for people who only want to have exclusivity. I wouldn't mind such a system, but it would surely screw up with some gameplay I consider fun, and many others do, as is evident.
In the end, you and I have different opinions on this matter. And that's fine. It's only when people, like those I was originally quoting a few pages back, treat this trivial matter like it's an apocalypse and generally act like assholes, that it warrants a bit of arguing. I guess the two of us can just agree to disagree without issues
to all you people whinging about what gets put up on bm ah just stop all your doing is showing how much of a dick some of you are we all pay to play and we have a right to get what ever we can in this game even if its removed the bm ah is not just some big giant gold sink blizzard is using to round up stolen/bought gold what about those of us who have worked our buts off to earn our gold huh what are we supposed to do with it blizzard answered tht by giving us a chance to get rare and unique items some of which have been removed from game i understand alot of people's annoyance but as blizzard said themselves for the people who genuinely earn their gold if they place the bid and win above everyone else who bids then they deserve that item they are chasing not all of us have stolen/bought gold and we deserve to use our gold on what we want and thanks to blizzard we literally can for once it would be nice if people just stopp'd complaining about almost everything blizzard does you guys really are ruining wow.
Soon i shall awaken, soon i will be unleashed, soon our prophet will do what he know's he must and let me loose upon those who would dare call themselves my people's enemy's................my rise will bring fear to the heart of many the vengence of the draenei is coming those from draenor and beyond have not forgotten and we will show no mercy DEATH TO THE HORDE!!!!
I don't understand that they think it's ok to add back stuff through the black market AH, but not through doing old content.
A low droprate from the end-boss of a raid or dungeon would make them just as rare, and not exactly farm-able.
Selling something for absurd amounts of gold (thinking of the average player anyway), only promotes gold selling and buying. And if not that, to drive the economy up so much that you don't have a chance without becoming an "AH baron" yourself, which is silly.
Don't ever put my black proto on it as well please, you already ruined tier3.....
Why is it acceptable to bring back a mount that took a moderate amount of time/luck/skill to get? You might all laugh now saying how easy naxx 10/25 were, when you're obviously the 99.99% of the WoW population that doesn't have that mount. Immortal/Undying might sound like easy achievements, but they were incredibly hard when naxx was current content. (KT's frost blast on your heals)
Why not bring back the Scarab Lord mount? That took no amount of skill to get and was mostly a guild effort, yet it only rewarded one person in most cases.
You guys are seriously hilarious thinking that clearing naxx 10 was just how you magically got the plagued drake.
The hardest part was Sarth 3D 10. There's a very good reason why an extremely small percentage of players have it. Making it simply buyable would be fine if it didn't mean that every player who obtained it legitimately suddenly came into question.
TBH, the achievements were left in for long enough that they were already cheesed. The Scarab Lord Mount, sacred as people hold it, was SO overly easy by the time it was removed, that in one of the last gates about 1000 people were meant to have all got it. (thus speeding up its eventual removal)
Both of these things are really about the time you happened to be a raider rather than having had more skill at the time than people do today. I don't see why things like "The Immortal" can't be applied to a NEW tier raid, which would have the exact same difficulty in getting the achievement as the first time it was out.
BASIC CAMPFIRE for WARCHIEF UK Prime Minister!
ouch, you know I honestly believed they'd never give away my plagued proto, silly me
Care to explain how the Guardian Cub is not a Blizzard-authorized cash for gold option?
1. Pay $10 for Guardian Cub
2. Put Guardian Cub on Auction House for Gold.
3. Collect gold.
Perhaps some readers who are still playing can check their AH's and see how much gold $10 buys right now?
