Cruelty in bgs...

So, I went and did a few bgs with some guildies of mine. Sooner or later the inevitable always happens and AV pops.

Now I actually levled my current priest main thro bgs in cata so I went for some nostalgia and used the good old
/e has reported you AFK, type /afk to clear it!


To my UTTER amazement plenty fell for it, even got a rage /w from a person who then did /afk (he left the group at least, /w sounded that way too).
Now, I really had a good laugh on that, especially since one of my guildies fell for it as well (we all on vent even, god)...but....am I evil?

Nah, thats one of those "fool me once" type of things, it happens, just laugh and re queue but if you fall for it again...no one to blame but yourself.

Id never fall for it myself tbh, but it IS damn funny when others do And yes I tend to call it "cleaning out some bads"

This, I fell for it once when I was like 12, never again. It's like in LoL someone said to me omg guys if you press D it makes you dance, in a reflex I tried it and wasted my flash xD it was stupid of me.

Since so many people complain about bots now - you basically cleared out stupid players, but kept all the bots - I don't know if that was in your best interests.

And whether or not it was evil - who cares? It's not like you'll have some lasting karmic mark on your soul for making people have to take a 15 minute que break for their next BG. It could be considered good karma because you made them step away from their computer which is healthier and theoretically better for the soul as it means they aren't participating in surrogate negative karma through virtual murder.

Yes you can and I have first hand knowledge. It is so fun watching people leave by the handful though and makes your battleground experience that much better.

Bloodlust/Heroism/Timewarp all reset as soon as the gates open. Thats what makes it funny, to see people like you rage over nothing.
