Look honestly I don't really care beyond the fact that I don't like how metric measurements sound. I know both systems so I really don't see the value. We could just teach our kids both ways and if at some point in the future people start leaning away from Imperial, then fine. Otherwise I don't see the necessity to force the change.

To be fair, I really don't pay much attention to my speedometer beyond "does it match that sign?" *check* "Yep, sign says 50, arrow on the 50."
Human progress isn't measured by industry. It's measured by the value you place on a life.

    Just, be kind.

Sure. I was just addressing the idea that it would somehow cost us a fortune to do.

And not even a big one. It didn't take me that long to adjust.

As an American, sure. I'm fine with the metric system. But celcius sucks dick. You touch Fahrenheit, there WILL be a problem.

Maybe for the slow and dim witted who can't memorize anything beyond 0 for freezing water & 100 for boiling. It's got no finesse.

Celsius doesn't make any more sense than Fahrenheit. It's just as easy to remember that water freezes at 32 and boils at 212 as it is to remember that it freezes at 0 and boils at 100.

Yeah 32 degrees is a logical number for freezing and 212 for boiling. Whoever figured that would work along with using the kings foot was really onto something. We should go back to doing medicine like they did back in those days too, since it makes just as much sense, lol.

That's because you grew up with it.
People that grew up with celcius probably think Fahrenheit is stupid.

    indeed :P
Both systems are fine, but it is simpler to use Celsius, shorter numbers and it has the same range, just use decimals.
