I am in the market for a new PC as my old one has finally bit the dust. Currently all I have to play WoW on is an old laptop I used for school. I live in Canada, and found this computer at best buy. All I would like to know is if it is a solid computer and a reasonable price?
I would like to buy from best buy because of their 6-month no-interest payment plan. Funds are a little bit tight right now, and paying back in 6 months would help to not break my bank! I know that building a computer myself would probably be cheaper, but I have decided to buy from best buy for their plan, and also I have a friend who is a new salesman there and I would love to be able to help support him.
It should fare well, even in BF3 and games like that, as the 7750's in Crossfire are almost equal to my 560 ti. With that said, I think you can get a better deal than that, as you said.
The cards aren't powerful at all, but having two of them helps. Keep in mind that having 2 cards in crossfire at 1gb won't make it 2gb videoram. It stays at 1gb vram.
With the 6 month program, you're going to be paying ~$220 a month
Here's what I would do:
First month - Suffer
Second month - CPU + Mobo + PSU + RAM ($430) - Install into old case using old HDD w/ OS (or scavenge the one from your laptop)
Third month - Graphics Card
Fourth month - SSD, OS
Fifth month - Case, HDD, Optical Drive, Heatsink
