Why the constant nerf to BM?

I am a GM on a small 10 man raiding guild (maybe 30-40 "active" members) and thinking about getting some cool stuff as gifts for the people in the guild. I don't have tons of gold to spend on mounts or anything.. so anyone else do this? Have any ideas on what to get?

Pets, flasks, feasts, maybe you could get some cheap TCG items (under $1) and wrap those!

Pets are a great choice. Transmog gear like the mooncloth robe might be good too.
