    My geophysics lecturer did actually tell us just last week that a reversal would be pretty bad, not world ending bad though. We are actually overdue one as well.

    Well did anyone *really* believe it? I think not. Why people use doomsday predictions to pass the time boggles my mind, they can never be substantiated and are usually rehashes of age old ideas that have been "predicted" a thousand times before and never come to pass.

    The part that annoys me most is that tomorrow there will be the next big world ending idea.
