    Computer - Bootup problems

I received another computer from my cousin apparently however he didn't tell me it was kinda ''broken'' told me to salvage the parts but I wanted to try and get it fixed on my own anyway this is what he told me -

''I took out the cpu core and didn't know how to install it so I broke the pins by forcing it'' -
'' I then got the same CPU core to replace it and it still didn't work''

He is correct like nothing is working except the fans etc and such. Blank screen yada yada; So any idea's? I did see the core and such everything seems fine and dandy in terms of him putting it correctly

Oh and this the CPU core

Forcing it may have damaged the CPU socket on the motherboard.

Yeah he showed me the core haha like 1/2 of the pins were broken - ''I didn't know it had a lock...'' Well if that's the case guess I'll take his other parts or have a friend of mine try to mess with it I guess
