    First Time Computer Builder, Need Help

    Hello,

    I finally got my power supply for my computer. This is my first computer. I plugged everything in and there is a green light on on the motherboard and i press the power button, it lights up and the fans spin for a second then it just shuts down. Does anyone have ideas why?

    Did you plug in both motherboard power plugs?

    Is the fan properly connected?

    Did you apply thermal paste?

    Is your ram/gpu properly seated?

    The most often cause of this is that the 4pin 12v power is not plugged in. More info might be useful, though. Specs, motherboard, etc.
