Does age defines class choice?

Hi, so i was talking to me guildmates ramdom stuff when this subject came up, the thing is i think people of certain ages tends to pick certain classes, what u guys think? Maybe something like

Warrior 24+
Monk 15-40 (cause is the new hip)
Mage 18+
Hunter 2-5 years old
Priest 17-20 (holy 45+ years with and active professional career in medicine)
Druid 25+
DK 10 years olds (probably with a 60+ hunter)
Rogue 15 years back in vanilla cause havent seen one since mop
Paladin 12-20
Shaman 30+
Warlock 19+

My mother just started playing. She's 48 and she picked hunter. No I really don't think so.

No connection at all. I'm currently 20 and have played a fair few classes, whilst friends of the same age have played other classes. Age does not define your Class Choice at all. The main things I see that decide your class choice are Guilds, Friends and Previous Game Experiences

Started playing at 24 with a hunter, then DK, shammy and Lock.
Now 28 with a max monk and working on my hunter and DK.


Age has nothing to do with the classes people play.

Amount of past exp with MMOS has a huge factor on what classes people started with (if you where a mage in EQ, you would pick a mage in wow.)


I was a beastmaster (hunter) in my first MMO (GW) and a hunter was my first class in wow.

EQ Mage friend is indeed a Mage in WoW.

I was an Enchanter in EQ, I play a Priest in WoW.

It depends on someone's interest, rather than being a certain age. There's no connection at all.
