I agree with this, the first season is pretty nice if you like supernatural abilities/fighting, but the second season was just horrible in my opinion (new, boring main character and confusing plot etc.).

I found the 2nd season "ok". It was watchable at least, although my advice for anyone planning to watch it, is to watch the OVA's before the 2nd season, as although they appear to have been released after it (at least they are tacked onto the end of the dvd series), they explain the upcoming events.
