Heath Ledger Vs. Tom Hardy
Heath Ledger Vs. Tom Hardy
Heath ledger aka The Joker. His love for chaos for no gain made me fall in love with him.
Ledger's Joker is iconic.
Second only to Mark Hamill.
Joker was amazing and probably better. I really like what they did with Bane though, he wasn't much behind Heath.
Different characters, different movies. Both were good. I enjoyed the Joker more simply because he had better script.
I liked Ledger's Joker more than Hardy's Bane.
Heath Ledger. Tom Hardy was great too but, the joker was written closer to the character he was based on. (but the voice over work for bane was probably one of the best parts of DKR)

The Joker character allowed for a lot more than Bane did imo, for that reason my vote has to go to Heath Ledger. Both characters were played brilliantly however.
Joker, while Bane would destroy Joker, Joker is way more iconic and unique.

Joker made the trilogy. Without the second movie, the first and third were pretty dull in comparison. Bane was completely wrong in my eyes. He was just human. Not even that big really, next to what I know as Bane. The character wasn't approached well at all imo.

I also wanna add using the villain group that was known for coming back from the dead in a movie claiming "we want it more real" and trying to pretend people like Ras and Talia could die was completely retarded and insulting to the source material.
Exactly my thought !Heath Joker Vs Hardy Bane? Heath
comic Joker Vs Comic Bane? Bane
Heath Ledger, hands down. His Joker is one of the best on-screen performances ever, IMHO. A lot of the things that were great about the character were not written into the script, but added by Heath himself. It's a pity it's the only movie he did worth a shit before he died, I would've loved to see more.
I thought Bane was also good, but it wasn't on the same level.
Neither. Cillian Murphy.
I thought both were good, but Heath Ledger was way better. I'm not big into Batman outside of the new movies, but Bane feels like your typical comic book badguy. The Joker is anything but. My opinion really has nothing to do with the fact that Heath died, The Joker was simply the most interesting and memorable villain I've ever seen in a movie.
If it wasn't for my comic book nerd childhood making me have bias for the Joker over Bane, I'd probably say Bane was the more impressive movie villain.
Second to Mark my ass. Hamill does great voice work as Joker - don't misunderstand - but Ledger took Joker, internalized him, and became a unique version of him. Nobody beats that. Not Hamill, not Jack. No way.

I thought Bane was very well interpreted for the scope that Nolan was going for. Sure, no Venom, but he was still a badass and broke the Bat all proper like.
Still go for Joker though.
