Troll dungeos sucked bad. They were way too hard and time consuming compared to other dungeons. I'm glad there won't be more of those. Although last three patch dungeons were cool, and not too time consuming.

They may not be adding dungeons now, but that doesn't mean there isn't more coming in 5.3. We just got 5.1 last month. 5.2 is likely hitting either late Feb/early March. When it comes out, there will be 3-4 new LFRs to run along with 2 new world bosses. Those will provide a progression path to those not interested in commiting to raid groups. Scenarios have improved in 5.1 and I expect they will get better as Blizzard gets more feedback.
I love dungeons, but we're getting a raid, so I really don't expect new dungeons in the same patch, too. With the new smaller/frequent content patch philosophy, it kinda doesn't make sense to release both in the same patch. Probably patches will alternate between the ones we get raids and the ones were we get content like five mans/scenarios/etc.
So maybe in 5.3 we'll get a couple new ones, but no raid, and 5.4 will be the raid but no dungeons. *shrug*
Just to clarify that the bolded part here is bullshit. I'll see if I can find the Blue Post, but I recall a post saying that the Dungeons were done a lot sooner then expected, so rather then delay content that was perfectly ready, they launched it knowing that the time between Tier 11 & Tier 12 would be far to great.
Firelands was not slow to release. It released on time, it was the Dungeons that were released early.
Dungeon quality is getting worse and worse every expansion, it's quite disappointing to see.
3 rehashed instances rather than 2 from Cataclysm. Only 5 new heroics that aren't even memorable in the least.
With the way this is going, next expansion will have 4 rehashed instances and about 3 new heroics.
Not really surprised nothing came out from the 5 man front in 5.2. They'll likely have 3 new instances in 5.3 or 5.4, and that'll be that. Meh.
I would rather wait 2 more months and get 3 new dungeons instead of bunch of daily quests or scenarios.
Their entire answer in getting "content out at a much faster, more desirable pace" is to shove more dailies down people's throats. To be using the same content type over and over again since 2007 is incredibly frustrating, and disappointing.
I think every raid should come with atleast one heroic as a pre-cursor to the raid itself. Good opportunity to deliver lore, gain rep and prepare for the raid itself with some new boss mechanics. I much prefer heroics to scenarios, think we could have had a dungeon with 5.2. They had the right idea with ICC. 3 heroics and one long, kick ass raid. Granted that was the de facto finale of wrath and 5.2 is not the end of MoP but they should be aiming for standards they have already met.
If they dont go into dungeons then yes- they are playing it stupidly. LFD is still fastest way to lvl ingame. And like it or not - it means you are playing with other players in content that is focused on teamwork and sometimes ppl say hi... and sometimes other respond. Thats socialising
