The problem in 25man is that druids have to heal ppl when they have been damaged, while paladins and priests just can't overheal because the overheal goes into a shield that will "heal in the future" preventing us from healing something.

What if one of the druid HoT's paused its ticks when the person with the HoT on them was at full health. Than its duration continued once health dropped back down again.

With a little modification that is a good idea. If hots had a hard number of ticks and ticked over a certain length of time when the target is missing hp. The problem with the idea is that it could potentially require an overhaul of our whole class.

oh ye, count healing done plus overhealing done (since we do most our overhealing with hots) and we re topping recount once again

Yeah, especially since hot's are already designed assuming a certain amount of overheal. If you come up with a way to reduce the overhealing, their cost would have to go up, or their heals would have to go down, to balance it.

the hot portion deffo would not work, how ever having the mushrooms on the player and detonating them would be idea, with every direct cast, a mushroom is placed allowing detonation

but for some reason i really do think having an absorb would be idea for druids some how, i dont know how to work it in, maybe as a 'Moss' a barrier between the player and incoming damage that allows for you to absorb some of the incoming damage, before reaching the target?
