Can you fly domestically without a gov issued id.

Lost my wallet today and I leave tomorrow morning on a domestic flight. It is round trip, I have a passport but it is 8 1/2 years old and passports issued to someone under 16 expire after 5 years instead of the usual 10.
    What I do have:
    Social Security card
    College issued photo id
    Insurance Card
    Original Birth certificate.
I am 20, will I be able to fly without a gov issued id?

I did when I was in school, dunno about how you'd do on your own.

Pretty much this, phone the agents of your flight company ahead of time and explain the situation with them. They can tell you what you will need to do and what forms of ID are accepted by them and the airport security.
