It sure as hell isn't being legalized cause "it's safe" regardless of what you folks might think.
Yes, it's better than alcohol. No, that's not an excuse for making it into ANOTHER thing people get into because of social pressures. It IS a drug just like alcohol IS a drug. It's just in such wide spread use that it's better legalized and controlled than illegal and a waste of money to ban.
OP, speak to your sister. See why she's doing it without antagonizing her. If she's "just trying to live a little" just make sure that she doesn't get into any funny business. It's a phase she'll grow out of sooner than later. Make her get a job, some responsibilities or the like. She'll learn to either give up weed to cover those responsibilities or to balance the both of them out and be a better person for it.

Here is the summation of your post.
I think your hostile, because you called me out on my stance, because I have an opinion on something. I haven't stated why I have these opinions in numerous attempts of being asked. Nor, am I willing to change these opinions based on something I'm not willing to share. Mainly this is a veiled attempt to get my post count up as seeing I have no valid reason to discuss nor inject my opinion. Because that is how you discuss issues right?
Because while the drug itself isn't addicting, the feeling it gives is. And it DOES lead to a decline in mental capacity if and when it's overdone; which if you're addicted it will be.

The problem there is with the person. The problem here is entirely with the drug. The DRUG causes the loss of reasoning.

We can question it all day but it will not change that it is illegal. It isnt for me to explain I didnt write the law and I neither agree or disagree with it. I merely decide to follow it or not and take the consequences of my decision. Yes I do speed and I have been ticketed in the past. I cant bitch or complain or even argue that in the last 5 years I have been rear ended 3 times but, have never hit anything myself. These things dont change that speeding is illegal and I must accept that they are and deal with the consequences for disobeying them.
weed isnt really addictive, it's the social aspect of it that kiddies think its cool to do. tell your parents, done deal
Not to mention those with genetic or at least heredity who have family members who sort of predisposed to Alcoholism.

Anything can be psychologically addictive. Aspirin can be psychologically addictive. Greasy food. Sugar. Potato chips. Sex. Porn.
It's simply not a reasonable reason to classify something as dangerous. The decline in mental capacity has been well documented, and it is minimal in even heavy users.

Alcohol is chemically addictive. Marijuana is not.

Comments on making a joke while completely avoiding the rest of the post. Where's your plaid hat?
Yeah you weren't joking. Just stop injecting your opinion without actually contributing with unwillingness to change said opinion. While said opinion is based on nothing you are willing to share.
It's pointless continuing any sort of conversation with you, as you are actively avoiding explaining your opinion.
what? i dont live in the us, but in my country and i think everywhere in europe it's like if you have a small portion of weed and cops search you, absolutely nothing happens. when you distribute, or have a huge amount of weed, u get in trouble.
so how is it in the us? if i have 1g weed, i can get arrested for that? and then how does the guy who i am talking to when applying for a job find out about this?
