So if i understand correctly this basicly generates the game scene three times, one at the center with maxed settings, the second around it at lower quality and the third at the edges at even lower quality thus resulting in much higher performance while keeping the percieved game the same or even better due to increased quality where it matters while keeping FPS higher?

Clever, it sounds similar to how I remember Batman: Arkham City using lower resolution textures on stuff that's far away.

Maybe with enough of this I can actually play modern PC games. Curse this outdated one month old technology!
