IMO tell her to plead guilty if she wont get jail time for the assault, and counseling is paid for by the city of whatever its called in Canada. Anger Management counseling is a joke, go once a week for an hour and play along with them, they dont want you there any more then you want to be there.

I have an absolute zero tolerance for physical any abuse in a relationship. If she hit you once it is most likely that she will hit you again. It sounded serious enough for her to call the police and try and get you into trouble. End the replationship NOW, and let the charges stand. If she gets away with it once with you, in the future it will get worse, either for you or someone else.

I agree, you want this on her record. That might have been you facing charges there. This will happen again, to you or to her next boyfriend/husband/what have you, and without this on her record the cops will want to arrest the man instead of her.

WOW lol..... you clearly cant read or are just plain retarded. She called the cops and domestic violence laws say that no matter who called, if 1 person exhibits physical signs of violence, the other person gets arrested. and unless the police/prosecutor can establish that the marks were caused by the person itself (auto mutilation) the Crown (in canada, State in the US) will file charges.
