2000 agi is better you get 4000 AP from agi and some crit and all the agility increases you get make it more (kings/motw and mail armor specialization). With the AP you just get AP.

Eng is the best then it's really any crafting profession.

Right now, raid buffed, I have 51,493 AP. Now if there is a way I can get 51,493 agility, then by all means enlighten me. It has also been 1AGI = 2AP in cata too, not sure what you are talking about. The tooltip in game is showing us how much melee AP we get too fyi.

However removing my 1030 agility Relic of Xuen trinket is a loss of well over 2k attack power. Not sure about the underlying math behind this with Aspect of the Hawk, Mail Specialization and so forth but it does prove that 1 agility doesn't equal 1 attack power.

That is showing us how much melee AP we are getting. Agility does in fact give 2 ap.

Ah excuse me, I think that was a small misunderstanding between the two of us. Anyway I guess the topic has been answered now.

Agility is awesome, attack power is less awesome.

but you get crit from agi, so the agi.

I believe the AGI : RAP history is something like...

Classic: 2RAP : 1AGI
BC/Wrath: 1RAP : 1AGI
Cata onward: 2RAP : 1AGI

And of course it's always given crit as well to some degree.

Then there was that talent in Wrath (the name escapes me) that gave you 1:1 attack power for int, I believe, a low tier Marksman talent that was pretty much mandatory. Made up somewhat for the 1RAP : 1AGI. Back when we had mana and aspect of the viper and all that jazz.

I was pretty sure it was Careful Aim that did it. Been so long. But yeah it wasn't 1:1 it was like 0.45:1
