How to join

Visit our forums at deathswornverdict.co.uk and fill out an application. We'll get back to you with an answer within 48 hours. About Deathsworn Verdict

All of our members would have something different to say about the guild and why they joined or what they enjoy about it - hopefully all positive! But some of the best things about Deathsworn Verdict are:

Raiding Hours
Wednesday, Thursday & Sunday: 21:00 - 0:00 (Server time)
Our raiding hours suit people who want a good mixture of progression and spare time. A lot of our members work full time and have families and, as much as we love raiding, we don't have the time to commit to some of the more progressive "hardcore" guilds. Of course, some of us have all the spare time in the world but don't enjoy the stress of raiding almost 20 hours a week. Whatever the reason, we think our raiding hours allow us to make a nice amount of progression without taking over our lives too much.

25 man raiding
Some people like 10 man, some people like 25 man, and with 25 man guilds becoming increasingly rare to find, Deathsworn Verdict is one of the few remaining 25 man guilds on the server. If you enjoy 25 man raiding, or look back sentimentally at the old 40 man raids of vanilla, we could be the guild for you.

Progression - at our own pace
We aren't racing for world or even realm firsts, but we do like to kill bosses and progress through content. In Cataclysm, we achieved 6/7 heroic in Firelands despite the guild forming the week Firelands arrived, and 8/8 heroic in Dragon Soul before most of the nerfs. We don't claim to have achieved these things at any impressive speed, because our rankings aren't important to us - thus the emphasis on "our own pace".

Community
Having 25 man raids means a bigger guild roster, and therefore a more active community. It's very rare that you will be the only person online, and our guild forums are generally quite active. More guild members means more friends, more guild groups and opportunities in the game in the general.

Atmosphere
We have always strived to have a comfortable atmosphere for all players in the guild, particularly in the raid environment. We try to maintain a calm and patient approach to raid leading, with no finger pointing or shouting! We don't publicly humiliate people who make mistakes and we don't allow drama or bickering. Our raids are generally a mixture of concentration, discussion and laughing.

What we look for in members

Attendance
It's vital to us that members who join our guild are generally available for all of our raids. Occasional absences are of course to be expected. But for us to be able to keep our roster relatively tight and to avoid reserving too many people, we need to know that all our members can attend all of our raids unless they have a good reason. If you already know you'll miss a lot of our raids (e.g. 1 or more a fortnight), you might want to consider looking elsewhere, or joining as a social member.

Performance
It's important you know how to play your class, and are willing to learn how to perform well. This includes raid awareness and showing up prepared. You should be open to advice from others if you are failing a mechanic or performing poorly.

Personality
Most importantly, we require people who are able to behave in a decent way when they're online. We like friendly, sociable people who enjoy a joke and a tease and who are patient and willing to help - even when it doesn't benefit them. We dislike people who are rude, overly sarcastic (or overly serious!) and most of all, we dislike drama - so if you're the kind of person who loves having a public argument or causing problems, you should look elsewhere.

Community spirit
We're looking for the kind of person who wants to be involved with the guild - not just take what you need from it. The kind of person we'd like doesn't only log on for raids where they might get loot, they will be happy to help out occasionally with things they don't need (like old content runs for mounts or legendary pieces) and they'll actually want to enjoy the benefits of being in a large, sociable guild, visiting the forum regularly and joining in with guild chat discussions.
