    Well, you're believing in lies. Calories in < Calories out is the ONLY way to do it, you're right about the foods you eat affecting your hormones, but you're wrong about most of those hormones affecting your weight loss. Your body can NOT take in an excess of calories (which, even eating healthy, you can do quite easily) and still lose weight.

    You're right, it's better to eat healthy, but you're just wrong about being able to eat all you want.

    The diet involved in eating paleo is decent, but it's the ridiculousness of the hype and the way it gets promoted that makes me shy away from it.

    This formula is as basic as weight loss gets. If you exercise more calories than you eat at the end of the day, you will lose weight. Creating a calorie deficiency at the end of a day does not mean you have to starve yourself.
