I've managed 4 hours so far - having a full time job and kids doesn't leave much time for gaming anymore.

I've got an old machine, which has been fine for now. This is the first game that I've had to turn the graphics down to low for. It still runs and looks quite decent, though there is a bit of stuttering when going out into the open city.

I've had a few graphical glitches mostly due to assets not loading, but no bugs beyond that.

Be nice to be able to turn the graphics up and not worry about stuttering, but that is beyond the budget right now and unfortunately none of the game streaming services, not even stadia, are available in my country.

You realize if they didn't release it for PS4/XB1 then the console version we currently have would be PS5/XBX right? Also it would of gave them more time to work on the next gen version.

PS5/XSX runs at 60fps and looks great.

I don't think they'd release it in it's current state for just ps5/xsx if not for the ps4/xb1. They would continue to do what they are currently doing, release it when it's ready for the next gen update.

You realize there is no ps5/series x version of the game yet? If they just skipped last gen consoles it would be right now a PC exclusive, I mean they went last gen to maximize profits, if they did pc exclusive for however many months, it would dampen profits even more.

I am pretty sure they could have got it done if they they didn't have to focus on making it last gen compatible.

Ugh, so apparently the best romance in the game (imo) is lesbian, I don't know why they make locked romances like these anymore, why can't they do it like DA2 where everyone is Bi... I just hope someone mods it so we can romance her as males...

I still prefer m/kb but the driving ugh I wish the cars drove like roach did in witcher 3.

Can you use both? Suuuuper disappointing if not.

In GTA V I'm mostly controller and then set it down and use m/kb for firefights - it's seamless since they're both technically always enabled I guess.

Or that, but I really liked that character and then I read more into romances today to find out that if I wanna romance her I basically have to start over because I won't be able to with this character, so yeah I'm salty.

+ the fact that there are only 4 main romances (2 male 2 female) and not many more secondary ones... I am disappoint.

Hopefully there will be mods to remove such pointless restrictions and allow us to romance whoever we want.

Not developing for PS4/XB1 would have freed up development time for PS5/XSX and also the game would have came out sooner. A lot of the delay's was due to how bad last gen was and this is what we got cause of it.

Those consoles are are their limit and this game shouldn't have released on them.

I just checked and yes it seems you can use both, exactly as you described actually. Think I might start using controller just for driving.

bought it on a whim today, and im kinda "eh" on the first 5 hours.
they absolutly nailed the look, sound and feeling of a cyberpunk city. but, damn there is quite a lot of jank here. npcs teleporting around, quests bugging out, the fistfights for the quest are just ... bad extra extra long arms that hit you from meters away ...

i could go on, but thats not the point. i was expecting a more "finished" product. right now im discussing just leaving it sit for 6 months and wait until they actually "finished" it.

Some dev slipped in a shard (book) about Polish Catholics. It is out of place for the game world so seems like an easter egg by some employee not happy about the subject matter of the game. Exploring the city seems okay so far for a City based game. The same pitfalls that plague any of them but the density is good some of the areas feel more "alive" then other games.

But there are still dead zones. Something you get in any open world game but when it is a country side you don't notice it as much because it gets camouflaged. But had a random quest pop up to get some old recordings of a band just by having a street musician nearby so there are some fun little side things that pop up.

I'm using a bit of an old laptop for gaming. Ran RDR2 fine on low settings but even on the lowest possible settings but even this game on the lowest possible settings on everything gives me some framerate issues and gameplay lag. Really makes the shooting difficult at times. Yeah my computer is old but I do hope the problem isn't entirely on my end and the choppiness improves.

Oh yeah, I just did the fistfight against the twins and it was pretty bad. Mofos just sled across half the arena to hit me sometimes. The katanas are satisfying to use but bare fists suck.

Some of these side quests are really dark There is one where you track down people who murdered someones kid and it turns out they trade the recordings of stuff including of the death of children. And it was a father and son where you can find a message from the mother being disgusted about what they are doing and leaving the family

The game was supposed to release months and months before next gen systems. They had no choice but to target last gen. CDPR is just shit at optimizing their game dude. If you want the truth this game running on PS5 looks worse then TLOU2, GoT and RDR2 do running on the PS4 Pro. There is literally nothing that special about the graphic fidelity in this game and that's part of the reason the PS5 brute forces it to 60 fps with ease and no extra dev work required at all. Remember the bog in Witcher 3? Yea, CDPR is not exactly known for smooth performance and I hate to see what this game would perform at on PS5, XSX and PC if they where only targeting those instead of last gen. It would probably be a shit show. Those 3 platforms can run it well by brute forcing what is at it's core a terribly optimized last gen game, not because of CDPRs great optimization.

Just imagine if EA had released this kind of performance on the base consoles AND held a press/review embargo on said consoles so there was no footage of it before release . That is pretty snake salesmen considering they are happy to take your money for the ps4/xbox 360

This is what saddens me about CDPR, such practicies makes them 'those evil ones'. The state of the game on base consoles is unexcused, they had 3 delays (imagine how the game ran in April....if it even launched on base consoles). This does not look good for their reputation and they will need to earn it back. Like some say gaining respect take years, loosing it takes second. Its tough times for them.

I'm enjoying it and had only minimal issues with bugs so far (PC). But I'm still in the beginning and just opened up the world, but my god, did doing so overwhelm me. My map looks like in a ubisoft game. I think I need to clear a bit here first ease myself into it. I did a few of the mini side quests, if they are dynamic (can't really tell yet) then they might provide good fun for a while.

It's kind of artistic integrity? A character not fucking everything that isn't up the trees by the count of 3 is like an actual character with likes and dislikes.

I am enjoying the game. Issue I cam across on PC is dialog options wouldn't let me choose, it was stuck on the top choice. Reloaded a save point and it worked just fine. It was random
