Crafting is great in this game. I think maybe people are not going deep enough into it and using the Tech side with complementary skills. But I am only level 12 and crafting Iconic weapons with custom mods and tricked out in epic gear with super high armor. I can soak crazy damage and take on dozens and dozens of police. I can take out jobs straight up, no stealth or trickery just Rambo from the word go.

Smart Sub Machine Gun, epic crafting, and the high Intellect allows me jack/hack all kinds of shit for spare creds/materials.

Just finished the main story and most of the side content with about 40 hours played

Now this really makes me sad, I'm 10h in. Main story already felt even from the first hours that it won't take long but I was hoping at least the side stuff would stretch the play time enough to feel close to witcher 3.
The bullshit about "we made the main story shorter because people complained in witcher 3" rings even more ridiculous now. They cut probably about a third of the game to rush it out this year. Those free dlcs announced will most likely be just that.

Well, that's also being a little ridiculous. No one should need a new PC every year. That's crazy talk. Upgrading every ~5 years should be more than enough - and as far as I can tell, it is. My computer's ancient other than my video card, which is about 4 years old, and it runs this game at 30+ fps on ultra and dual monitors.

No one should cry at any framerate over 20, though. Some people here are just being ridiculous about demanding refunds because they're not getting 60. It's understandable if you're getting actual stutter frames, but that doesn't seem to be the bulk of the complaining. Consider that the majority of movies we watch are 24fps and it's not very common to scream about that - hell, it's not uncommon for digital videos to run at 16-20 for extra compression, and no one even notices because we don't commonly display FPS counters on videos. I'm convinced some of these Karens wouldn't even know they had a frame drop if frame counters weren't such a core component of modern gaming.

Mad respect though, I've never seen someone shilling 20 FPS before, and here I was thinking everyone who thought anything below 60 was acceptable on PC was wiped out with the K-Pg asteroid.

I'll be honest. The visual bugs weren't bad at first. Sure, a dude walking through other people is odd, but nothing I really care about. It doesn't bother me that people walk through walls, or knock shit over for no real reason.

But, I did find it rather odd that when my character woke up, and looked in the mirror, he was completely different. It's like the game had simply randomized my appearance for no reason.

Welp, my good fortune RE bugs came to an abrupt end today. Had no less than 3 quests break in different ways in one session; first the clinic that the old lady Fixer sends you to get a free Smart Link (after I used my money to buy one *grumbles*) had a closed door I just couldn't get to open, then the nearest warehouse cleaning side objective had an enemy clipping in the wall which I had to reset three times to fix, and now another sidequest to escort some dumbass broke down when his AI stopped working and he didn't want to get in the car. After 10 minutes I left in frustration and failed the quest; no biggie, right? Except now the idiot spawns next to me and follows me around everywhere, and since he's tagged as friendly I can't ever get rid of them.

Tempted to reload an old save. This shit is annoying as fuck. At least the game has a generous autosave system.

Announced in 2012, Teaser Trailer January 2013, but apparently the media exclusive pre-alpha presentation was at E3 in 2018 (according to what I could find for example on wikipedia)

There's definitely issues outside the technical side of things. Customisation is substandard, which is fine if it wasn't for the fact the game was marketed in a completely different way. The game IS linear, which once again, it's fine only they said something else. The living world isn't living at all, the ai is pretty dumb.

Those above are objective points that to be honest, kind of clash with what CDProjekt claimed.
You can like the game obviously, or not. That's subjective. But objectively speaking, these ARE issues.

The game isn't linear, it's just the only thing even good about it is if you just play the main missions in a linear order. All of the side content is garbage.

I will add I wasn't rushing, I didn't skip dialouge and read found items etc - I have no idea where some outlets are getting 80-100 hours from

I'll be generous and say the remaining side quests will take me 10 hours (I highly doubt it) - but I will say going around the map and completing objectives is kinda my thing - so maybe I'm a bit quicker than average. In all I'd say it's realistically a 50-60 game to 100, which isn't so bad all things considered - like I said, this game feels far more replayable than the witcher 3

You're right - they made the game pw2 and added a subscription service to an appauling game - they should've done the honorable thing and kill that game

It has nothing to do with the end user. I literally did nothing and the game runs fine for me right out of the gate. There's something wrong with the code that is messing up RTX based systems I think.

Define Living world if you mean there are people in the city moving around doing their thing yes it absolutely is. It just isn't hitting the specific details you obviously want. The more actual random human conversations then just everyone walking around. Even without that it still feels pretty good and lived in. Customization substandard? In what way, its pretty expansive and I would consider it(Minus skin tones) better then Fallout 4's customization options. You can't just throw around the word objective like that.

If the game didn't work or crashed often I would have a completely different opinion since I don't well it is what it is. I can dish out plenty of criticism of the game but I still think its fun. Once the game stops running horribly for consoles(If that day passes) its worth the ride, unless you rush it then thats another story).

Hardly. Saving a monk who was kidnapped to force implants, stopping a child death recording ring, stopping a creepy occult ritual. They are not garbage and on the same level as side content in most games.

Me for example. I change PC every 5 years and bought last machine exactly 5 years ago. I would have upgraded it now but cpus and video cards are not available so I’ll have to wait some more months.
