I always liked how during Wrath and especially Cataclysm the other tanks did like 3x Warrior tank DPS and Blizzard was like "... so?"

It's like they were giving us a penalty for having luxurious warrior beards.

Meh well played tanks could keep up with DK's in Cata I believe, I quit about halfway through Cata, and DK's always had the worst scaling in Wrath. I played my DK for most of Wrath then switched to my warrior and the toolbox felt so much more versatile.

It's because warriors are just generic. Everyone in the raid is a warrior; the warrior class are the grunts who haven't advanced into a real specialisation :<

Warriors have always been the most fun tank, but our DPS compared to other tanks and especially DKs was pretty horrible in Cata. It's been too long since Wrath, but I think we were lowest by time ICC rolled around, too.

Warriors have always been the most fun tank, but our DPS compared to other tanks and especially DKs was pretty horrible in Cata. It's been too long since Wrath, but I think we were lowest by time ICC rolled around, too.[COLOR="red"]

Pallies in Cata were OP but they were so boring. You did literally the same thing regardless of what you were tanking. I really enjoyed the DK blood strike health with avoidance spec (Unholy in early Wrath) but when they nerfed avoidance it became nigh useless.

I had a healer buddy I played WoW with constantly in vanilla. Freaking asshole told me his heals had a higher chance to crit the lower my health was and for a long time, I believed him and thought it was normal to be at like 15 fucking percent HP the entire time.

If you're a Disc priest thats pretty much true.

If you want really lazy healing play Rdruid. When my GF tanked for me I showed her where the LB button was on my keyboard and then went AFK to make tea, she could heal herself for a whole run just by pressing one button every 6 seconds!

I absolutely hated healing DKs at the start of wotlk. I was running with a paladin(or warrior) from the guild when doing dungeons mostly. Best death I ever seen was the first time we were gonna try Algalon, tank runs in and dies instantly with us healers just sitting there "What happened?"

Grinding rep/marks in Wrath as a DK tank with a pug dungeon group, I would often have more healing at the end of a run than the healer, especially if I outgeared the content and was grinding for stuff for a DPS set. They would always beg me to tank for them afterwords and its just like ... no... get away from me you unwashed masses.

Soloing bosses is hilarious as DK.
