    What Video Card?

    I have a price range between $300-$450.

I've been looking around I was originally going to go with a MSI 660ti PE 2GB but then I saw that MSI was overvolting this card and it was causing cards to die and 192bit vs 384bit on a 7950.

Which would be the best card between $300-$425 with overclocking.

Depends on what you're going to be doing, and what you have now.

The "Best" card would be http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...D=3938566&SID= not sure if you really need that kind of power though.
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...D=3938566&SID= is also a really good card. (I'm not biased, I promise )

Going to be playing Rift, BF3, Far Cry 3, Planet Side 2, and new games at hopefully Ultra.

Probably going to go with a 7970 GHz n0cturnal linked.

Yeh you might get away with a 550 but i would recommend going to something 700+ running a 7970. I have the 3gb OC model from asus and its a beast - but you need to feed it

You can run dual 7970 on 700W, his system will hardly ever reach 400W load.

What resolution are you running? What games do you want to play on what settings? If you are gaming at 1080p tbh I wouldn't waste my time with something like a 7970. A 7870 which is ~195$ right now after rebate is going to be more than sufficient.

Complete overkill. AMD recommends a 500W PSU for the 7970, which is already a cautiously high estimate.

Making sure that all the OCZ buyers out there won't try to run them on a 400W PSU

Rift is pretty power hungry and prefers NVIDIA (As do many other high end games) so keep that in the back of your mind. I can't say for certain for the other games.

Usually, most of the biggest AAA games are heavily nvidia oriented for some reason. That doesn't mean that AMD cards don't perform excellent in them as well though. All the games he listed will perform excellent with an AMD card.

Yup, running everything with my 7970 @ 1440p and at stock clocks. BF3 on ultra (without MSAA) is running on average between 50-60 fps Also had no issues running hitman on ultra at that resolution.

All the high-end cards, Nvidia or AMD, will give excellent performances in all games. The only real criterias I would have when looking for a card would be:

Higher resolutions or multiple screens? AMD takes the crown with nvidia lagging far behind.

Plan on gaming in 3D? It's not super with either card, but Nvidia is way better in this area.

Got a limited budget? AMD will get you further for the same money.
