Looking to discuss the stupidity of some rules concerning topics allowed on this site

Religious topics are also forbidden here even though they aren't illegal anywhere. So what? You can make your own forums where you can have whatever the rules you wish, as can the owners off Mmo-champion make their own rules.

uh, its a private website, you dont have some legally binding contract, the mods can delete/lock what ever topic they wish.

A site can make their own rules, as long as they still follow the REAL laws.

So to say it once again: A site has to follow the real law and after that they can make even more rules.

When I joined here I signed a tos or something, but no where in it does it state I need to follow the arbitrary laws of a foreign country, and no fucking way that would EVER hold up in a court.( ever read of a court case where a site user was banned for ...something...and got it overturned in a court and the company got a slap?)

We allow discussion relating to drugs or alcohol in the context of a news article or current event, but we reserve the right to close those threads, or indeed, any threads, at any time. Your country of origin does not factor into what can and cannot be discussed in a US-based, members-only forum.

So, what gives? how can mmochamp get around this? Don't you fucking dare message back with 'their site they make the rules' b/c if that were the case anyone could make any site and impose any rules and suffer no ill harm should they break REAL laws ect. (child porn, snuff talk, illegal movies the list goes on), and we know it just ain't so.

For the record, porn, snuff, gore, and shock images/videos are not allowed, but it is not our place to punish someone for those actions beyond removing them from our site.

If you feel a mistake has been made in regards to moderation, such as a thread should have been closed or should not have been, please contact Sunshine or Boubouille to discuss your concerns and make your feelings known. A thread like this is not constructive, nor is it allowed.
