Suggest a movie for the person above, and then describe a type of movie you want.

I'll have to go first since there is no one above me. I liked Sweeney Todd, Lord of the Rings and Star Trek. Suggest me a movie!

    The Last Starfighter.

I would like a good political drama.

(also, moving this to Fun Stuff).

    A Civil Action

I'd like a good action/comedy that isn't The Big Hit (but comes close!)

The Other Guys was pretty good for the genre.

Recommend me a great foreign film

    Run Lola Run (German)

Recommend me a good movie that all takes place mostly at one location.
I am fascinated by movies like The Cube, Phone Booth, Man on the Ledge... movies were it's driven by the actors and rarely has a change in scenery. I saw one more that I can't remember the name of, but it was a guy that was chased by a gang of 6 kids and he's stuck up a tree in a park for the whole movie (Bonus points if you can name that one for me too)

Hard or Soft Sci-Fi, no space opera.

I'm struggling, The Crying Game, perhaps? It's not really from a solely transgender perspective and has a lot about the IRA in it.

A good Spy movie which isn't from the Mission Impossible series or James Bond?

    The Bourne Identity
(Though I'd also recommend Sniper, not quite Spy but still action/mystery/government/thriller)

Knight and Day - it's Tom Cruise, but not same style as Mission Impossible, and he is a spy.

    something like "The Vanishing"
