If Hunters every got a Tanking spec. I just thought of a quick and stupid ability.

Bringing back Aspect of the Beast: "Fancy intro" which increases threat, dodge by x%, something vengeance, armor by blah, stamina by blah. Something like this would probably want Cobra Shot to be an instant cast on a 2-3 second cooldown or something. Casting and tanking doesn't seem to mesh well.

I almost feel Survival could do good for a tanking spec. It would be some insaneeee AOE threat.

But I'm a player and I would not want to play a game with my design.

If you noticed I separated the DPS out, So it was Pure Melee, Caster, and Pet. So the ratio I was talking about is 1:1:3, also what is More important is balanced gear use. Only so many people would play a tank or a healer.

I somewhat disagree about the ratio, but that's a very minor point so there's probably not much of a reason for me to rewrite my thoughts now that my computer crashed.

What is more important is that the amount of new specialisations would not be reasonable or sustainable. They would have to be unique while remaining balanced. There would always be some that would be too strong in certain situations, and they would all have to go through the balancing nightmare over and over again as the game moves forward. I don't see this happening in the near future. WoW is too competitive and there aren't that many benefits to such an addition.

As exciting as new things are, I think it's more important to focus on first adjusting the classes we have at hand. There are several specialisations in the game that already aren't really distinct from each others. Rogues for example could use having combat turned into a spec that feels like playing a swashbuckler, marksmanship for hunters could be turned into a petless spec, and so on. In some cases such changes could also be used to alleviate the gear usage discrepancies.

A lot of people are mentioning some sort of healer spec for mage using time and whatnot, what about some sort of bloodmage spec which heals?
If we're just information, just noise in the system, we might as well be a symphony.

Shamans - as a tank is a good idea
but arent we forgetting shamans, are based off voodoo and spirits, so it would make more sense to follow foot of a witch doctor or something
