Hate it or not, Jay-Z is the definition of the American Dream

I'm sorry but Christopher Wallace and Faith Evans could never look this good in a million years. Hova the God at the presidential inauguration yesterday.

"From bricks to billboards, from grams to Grammys".

He's the definition of the American dream. Coming from the ghetto as a underground RAPPER doing petty crimes and now hanging out at the White House with a wife who's one of the most successful singers of this generation. And he did it all in about fifteen years.

Jay is the true Brooklyn Don.

Jay z also once sold drugs to get by and amass wealth to start his "empire." So the American dream is to ruin the lives of others eh?

The American Dream has nothing to do with the means of the journey but only the Rags to Riches scenario.

He's just a face and name, a front. White people run everything.

People still think it doesnt exist, when America is still one of the top countries when it comes to social mobility. It's just not a unique experience anymore

for a man who looks like that to have a wife who looks like THAT... yeah, he's living the dream, big time .

All joking aside, while I'm not a fan of his music you've gotta respect Jay-Z I've seen him interviewed a few times and he comes across as a really nice guy, plus he's clearly very talented and a great businessman... plus.. ya know.. he's married to Beyonce..

If you research about the American dream, all it really means is to have a successful job through hard work and just live a good life. Have a home, money, family and live good. I'm pretty sure everyone wants that....You don't really have to be rich, just to live peacefully and not constantly worrying about if you can pay the bills or not.

Indeed, I believe in the American dream in the same sense that I believe in the Dutch dream, the German dream, and so on. Living in the first world is fucking awesome.
