I was wondering, do you have your own name shown with the option to enable that?

Personaly i dont, but i have a few friends that have that and find it strange without.

I dont have it because default doenst enable that.

I suppose I don't have any particular reason, I just have always had it visible. I like seeing my character as others see her.

I have names + titles turned on, but no guild name turned on for me and everyone else. It's clean enough for me without the guild tag and I like actually seeing the title that I have turned on.

I have all names (NPC and Player) turned off unless they're being targeted. I get more information from health bars rather than names. I PvP mostly now and when people call a target it's easier to say "Kill the shadow priest!" and see their health bar (addon color-codes them by class) rather than "Kill Kigdaggedon", for example, and you're sitting there looking for a name. I've been playing that way for years however, regardless of PvE or PvP focus.

i have it on so that i can see titles and things - as it annoys me when people have really long titles under their names, so in order to make sure i dont fall foul of a new title being applied without noticing, i like to keep my name visible.

thats about the only real reason i have for it

I have all names, titles, etc. turned off. I have enemy name plates on though, of course, but friendlies? Don't care, don't need to know.

Besides I can recognise most of my guildies by their transmog sets anyway. And obviously, I know who I am. :P

i'm inclined to agree, I can't see what the point is having your own name over your head as you're running around. I have NPC names and mob names on, but having my own name on just seems... pointless
