I do. Its just always been like that and I see no reason why to change it. Doesn't really affect gameplay. Would feel weird without it tbh.

Showing your own name is not on by default, so if you never bothered, it would be off...

Only people I've seen with own names turned on tended to be PvP videos made by people who were very pleased with themselves.

Have just name + guild on for others, don't care what their title is and it makes names extremely long.

I turn all my names off. I play on an RP server, and bad names really get on my nerves. Turning off the names helps me see the world better and less report spam to Blizzard. :P

No, I never have it on. It's distracting... I know who I am and I know where my character is on the screen without it.

Never understood why there even is option to show my own name. On other players i have only name visible and have only hostile nameplates always on. I don't even use any titles on myself.

I just keep mine turned on, so I know where I am. When I turn my name plate off I sometimes lose track of where I am. Silly I know, but that's what happens. lol.

i dont have titles, even though I collect them far to much, its just annoying too have anything on my toon showing, other then its gear.

I have mine on in part so I remember which title I'm using. I enjoy swapping out titles all the time and I like to see what other people are seeing. /shrug
