I really really like transmogging, but I don't believe it increased your chances to recruit somebody. In fact, I don't think that you would see the character immediatly, at least not me. You always get whispers or apply through a website and then its all about your social skills really.. it always has been tbh.

Looking good was one of the reasons I started to play the game. Huge ass swords, huge shoulderpads those were the only thing I cared for back in Vanilla. If it didn't look good, no matter the stats, I wouldn't wear it. After I got to level 60 I got sad for looking like a jester before my gear started to fit together.

Today, my all sets look badass (at least to me, which is frankly most important) and I tend to change it really often to keep myself fresh.

Not sure about the whole recruitment thing... but I do enjoy Transmogging, I currently have like 5 sets, mostly from Vanilla to WotLK.

I just recently took a moment to check how I would look without transmogrificated gear. It greatly renewed my appreciation of the feature.
    Never without it again!

Probably one of my favourite features they've ever added. It feels good not to look bad.

I love the addition of transmogging to the game, though it shouldn't be part of your recruitment. People should join because they like your offer, not your equipment.

People will gravitate to those who look good in their eyes even without any sexual desire, it's a basic psychological principle in real life and it works in games too.

Most of my gold at the end of Cata was spent on transmog changes. That answers that.

I really don't care about transmog and I am quite surprised at how many people do. It's nice but it won't keep me playing for longer.

Can't say I look at how a guild leader is dressing (coming from a raiding perspective) and honestly I answer your question with a counter question. Are you for real? Does this *really* factor into your thinking for guild recruitment? As a guild leader I never considered this, if you look like a clown this tier then that is how it is. Taking time out to transmog your gear proves only that you have time on your hands, nothing else.

Speak for yourself, I have soggy panties thrown at me left and right when I'm strutting my tier3 and knight-champion.

Consider the scenario where someone is looking for a guild, two guilds offer the same progression and raid nights, yet one guildleader looks like he spent slightly more time in his appearance.

Avoiding the subconscious judgement of appearance by those you need to convince is a good thing. Good grammar, good arguments, good appearance, even the smallest things can help.

While it shouldn't be considered a primary factor in the decisionmaking process, there's no denying that everyone judges appearance on a subconscious level.

right now i don't care. since i like the way my current armor looks. last expantion however.. the stuff was hideous. so i have a couple transmog sets. i find i don't care much for the teir sets though and one of my sets is partially green gear.
On i side note. i like to make fun of my fellow tank for his transmog being too bright to look at..

Transmog is awesome - I'm just missing one piece (chest). I finally can show my awesome T3 Set that is the best Frost-Mage Set ever.

Most Mage Sets are fire-themed or just ugly. And for my hunter I prefer the dark T4-style PVP set.

I like transmog, but I don't go farming it unless its something I can solo easily or I just tag along on a group that's doing a run already.

i like transmog, but i rarely go out of my way too farm it and i generally combine collecting it with rep farms.
unless there are just a few pieces left at which point ill just try too complete it.

i love teh feature, as it allows me to keep my hct11 mage set as my signature set also wierdly, i'm the only player on my realm with teh set on either cos nobody else has it or others don't like it as much who knows, so whenever i post on forums or run around in game ppl know who i am not necessarily "who" i am am but they recognise it is me, and tbh i doubt i will ever change the set, my only issue with the system, is teh severe lack of storage space, when 4.3 went live, i filled void storage, pre cash nerf, my bank is also full (1 full bag with tabards and 1 full bag with toys/transform items etc) the rest is all armour/weapons i have collected over the years that i don't wanna put in void storage because of enchants they have on them that are no longer in game (like the old ZG enchants) etc, i am now using my character inventory space as overflow as i cannot afford to buy the newest "big" bag for every inventory slot and bank slot, (11 x 3k = not gonna happen any time soon). once blizz fix storage issues, then i might have a look at other items, but atm i'm not interested in gathering new gear, that is partly the reason i have stopped doing any pvp, i no longer have the bag space to house both sets of raid gear and a pvp set.

Umm, the point of getting new gear is to make yourself more powerful. To get more str/agi/int, to get more haste/crit/mastery, to get more life and more survivability, THAT is why I get new gear anyway, not to "show it off". I don't "show off" gear that looks absolutely hideous.

So yeah, I like transmog, it lets me look a way I like my character looking no matter what sort of butt ugly gear I end up with.

I care quite a bit about transmogging. Which sucks because I have to make my Paladin/Mage/Monk each look perfect otherwise I'm unsatisfied with them. I just completed my monk and am now working on the pally. Mage has been done for a while now.
