CryTek forms new Austin studio with former Darksiders developers

I'm glad someone snapped up Vigil, the Darksiders games were fantastically fun for the most part, and it was extremely disappointing when they didn't get a buyer at the THQ auction. I'm doubly glad that it's CryTek that snapped them up.

CryTek makes great game engines, but bad stories in my opinion. Good that they decided to combine someone else's brains with their muscle.

Good Guy CryTek. I'm glad they were able to figure something out on such short notice. It's always sad when good companies have to shut down.

Darksiders using Cryengine... one can hope.
But the news only said that the core team of Vigil "got saved", so it's still bad news for Darksiders.
The Darksiders intellectual property has not yet been auctioned off, Rubin told Polygon.
