After playing WoW since vanilla, Mop did no longer feel like WoW to me. To much focussed upon Asian people with the happy teddy bears. Neglect from blizzard to come up with promises to update the old models since to be honest they look crap compared to next one of those used to be Easter eggs. And another factor for me is that Lore went down the drain it could no longer interest me at all.

I think its just general burnout for me, 8 years is a long friggin time.

To be honest I didn't get that impression. People were whining about pandas, pokemons and farmville before MoP was released. When they actually tried it wasn't half bad.

I thought general consensus was MoP was quite good, well, better than Cataclysm in the very least. My friends list is literally swarming with people and our guild has quite a few people that had returned and stayed. Personally, I love it so far. Raids are fun and somewhat hard (HC) and there's plenty to do if you don't want to raid. The only thing where they dropped the ball was dailies. If they just capped them with 10 a day (and accordingly award same reputation) or something people would complain A LOT less.

Also don't forget that WoW is 8 years old, so sometimes it's not the MoPs fault, it's just burnout.

    I don't hate it.

I just think it's boring as hell. Also I despise the whole Asian theme. I just don't like Asian stuff. I really dont. I'm sorry.

One of the big draw's in WoW for me was the limited amount of stereotypical Asian theme. I mean yeah the Nelfs had some Asian in them, but not that stereotypical. Also you have a big Mongol thing going on with the Orcs, but I frankly find that resfreshing.

I really liked how WoW was more of European type Knight's and Mages and Barbarians. I also liked the Aztec/Maya/Jamaica thing of the Trolls.

In an industry flooded by Asian themed stuff and anime haircuts I loved WoW because it stood apart.

Also Wotlk's Viking theme was the shizzle for me. And the whole Titan Greek architecture with Nordic inspired Lore was awsome.

    P.S.

Oh yeah....the fucking fuckton daily fest burnout at the get go you needed to go trough if you where serious about raiding was the last nail in the coffin for me.

I love it, my only complain is the amount of dailies, which is pretty common, and I'm not complaining about it to the extent that most people do. If MoP continues like this, it'll hands down be my favorite expansion, and it looks to only get better with Throne of Thunder.

And this comes from someone who don't like Pandaren, and I'm not exactly hyped over the Asian theme either. The raids, the story and how secretive that Pandaria is drives me to love it though.

To be honest mop is so far best wow expansion, you've got something to do all the time, art design of panderia is outstanding, raid bosses are actually hard even on raid finder difficulty and so many other things that makes mop awesome!
so where does all the hate come from? why do people keep bashing mop?
p.s:before haters start asking,no i'm not being sarcastic
they claim they wanted to bring back the "character progression" and "hard work put into a character" that TBC had. I don't think any of these devs actually played TBC because it was a lot fuckin easier than doing so many damn dailies.

In TBC, you got rep from doing dungeons that you farmed for gear anyways, and didnt really NEED rep unless you were certain specs that might have a good item from exalted. You only had to rep grind once, not repeat dailies to get coins for bonus loot. The attunement quests were a 1 time deal too.

Now to introduce the Balancing spectrum for patches (5.0.5) - (5.1)

    (Very Weak)1.

    (Somewhat Weak)2. Rogue
    |
    |
    (Moderate)3. Paladin, Monk, Death Knight
    |
    |
    (OP) 4.Priest, Shaman*, Druid*, Warlock*
    |
    |
    (Broken) 5.Warrior, Hunter, Mage
    *- Debatable

This chart shows that on a spectrum of 1-5, there are no "weak" classes compared to the moderate classes, but there is a majority of "OP" and "Broken" classes, your statement is true.

Whether or not Pandas are in Blizzard lore they are childish and together with the introduction of pet battles the game has been created for 5 year olds.

That list doesn't work, for example some specs are very good, while others are just free kills.
Take Shamans for example, resto is still good, elemental is pretty much unplayable in pvp after the totem silence change.

    Dailies. Fuckin' dailies.

I have no favourite expansion cause they are all my favourite, I'm not much of a pve'r. I've barely touched any of the new content. Never been upset about balancing issues or nerfs to my class and I just enjoy playing it. It's a totally awesome game. The end.

Except now you no longer need to grind the original reps. At most you'll only need to grind 1 or 2 reps with each patch and you'll have weeks and weeks and weeks to complete them.

If you still want the reps from the original factions for the mounts then suck it up and work for it, however remember that you have at least another year to work on those reps, so likely you could use the new system and still have all reps at exalted long before we get a new expansion.

Dailies, RPG mechanics are flat, raid guild died and couldn't be bothered finding a new one, Asian theme falls flat, still has a subscription fee when there are other games of roughly equal quality without subscription fees.
If you are particularly bold, you could use a Shiny Ditto. Do keep in mind though, this will infuriate your opponents due to Ditto's beauty. Please do not use Shiny Ditto. You have been warned.

To sum up MOP for me:

    I love:

    -The lanscape and architechture
    -Much of the raid armor
    -Monks
-Raid dungeons. Fun and don't drag out for hours.
-And lots of general gameplay improvements

    I hate:

    -Those horde monkey-people
-5-man dungeons in Pandaria, especially the Brewery. Not to keen on that extremely melee-unfriendly insect/wall place either.
-Mobs. The mogu are decent enemies, but I hate the monkey-people, fish jerks, monster-rabbits, and the sha creatures, and those silly beermonsters/waterelementals. The lizardpeeps, MOP-taurens and the insects are also ...ok.
-Too few weapon models. There is like 1 polearm, 1-2 for twohanders and 1-handers. Never anything unique.
-Too few high level weapons. I don't care about a million rings, boots, bracers or necklaces, give me some interesting.
-NPCs. Lots of different panda-factions, but I haven't really felt an interest in their story at all.
-Lore. I was interested in what was happening in the world, but...now nothing is happening part from the short scenarios.
    Mother pus bucket!

Pretty much for every other petty reason that they hated the previous new expansion. No expansion was perfect, but each one did bring something interesting to the table. The problem is everyone remembers most of the negatives than the positives from each one. Don't worry, people will be praising MoP when the next expansion comes out.
