10 points? Sign me up. I'll throw in another 5 for a 10" wang.
I have a relatively long list of afflictions, but you know what? I'd rather leave them be. They make me stronger mentally and emotionally, and they're not worth my mind over.
Well, then you'd be pretty SOL, wouldn't you :P
Realistically, I don't think a person with an IQ of 10 is able to even live through to adulthood, let alone have the cognitive skills to write a post here. :P
Depends on the circumstances. Someone else t-boned you? Nope, not Darwin.
You decided it would be a good idea to try to jump the car over a broken bridge? Yep. Darwin.
10 IQ points? Yes... but if we're talking literally, making me very stupid, then no, I like my brain, I wouldn't mind losing a little bit of smarts but not it all.
Most people in this thread are underestimating the benefit of '10 IQ points' especially since IQ isn't rated on a linear scale.
I think I'll pass on this offer. Perfect health seems overrated since I'll still age and die eventually. Who the hell wants to live to 85 anyways.
I might consider this if:
I get to see what life is like with the lower IQ first. No significant changes, maybe.
I don't die around 85. While there are no guarantees in life, my family history on both sides generally exceeds 90-100 while maintaining a decent quality of life. I don't know why I would potentially give a chance at that up. If I get to life as long as I am healthy and the previous point is true, then absolutely.
I consider my intelligence to be an integral part of my health.
'Twas a cutlass swipe or an ounce of lead
Or a yawing hole in a battered head
And the scuppers clogged with rotting red
And there they lay I damn me eyes
All lookouts clapped on Paradise
All souls bound just contrarywise, yo ho ho and a bottle of rum!
