I am confuse - old VP items in 5.2

First of all

is not the same with
"costs of 5.0 and 5.1 Valor items are being reduced by 50% and 25% respectively."

Second of all, why in the fuck are they resetting VP if the rep items are still gonna cost VP? VP is like pure gold in MoP.
I was expecting to be easier to gear up an alt or 5 in 5.2, but apparently not too easy.

Does that mean that mounts will have a "greatly increased" drop chance as well?

I would ignore all old VP gear on alts with 5.2. I hope situation will yet change and current VP items will be acquirable by JP and without rep reqs, because as it stands now - JP is far beyond useless.

Mounts from MoP bosses have 0% chance to drop. Even if you increase chance 100 times, 0*100=0. There is thread around there, which questions existence of Sha/Galleon mounts.
