Unsure what to do with my neighbor

So I'm kinda freaked out right now and I was wondering if anyone had a similar experience. Here's the story:

A guy around my age (20) moved in next doors a few days ago. I went to say hello, he was really friendly and we exchanged numbers. I noticed he had a lot of visitors in the past few days but they weren't loud...so that was really none of my business.

but this is where it gets weird. Today he texted me, asking me where I'm from and stuff...literally 3 messages later, he asks me if I have a girlfriend and if I watch porn a lot. Then he asks me if I wanted to come over to watch a "movie" and the fact that he's bisexual.

I told him I was ok with anyone's sexuality as long as they don't make a move on me, because I'm straight and planning to remain straight. But he wouldn't let go and he started asking more personal questions, to which i didn't bother answering.

I'm kinda worried right now that we will kinda run in to serious problems if he remains this persistent and well I'm not gonna judge, but his friends are not among the finest people of our society if you know what I mean.

Any suggestions? oh by the way: I live alone and in Texas.

That's what you get for exchanging numbers with someone you just met

Hm. If he persists, that actually would be a form of sexual harassment. You could complain to the cops.

Well people are nice here...I almost know all of my neighbors.

I wouldn't worry about it, keep civil in person, but ignore the messages; Chances are they'll stop trying. If not, go with Jimmy's suggestion!

Disagree with Sarix; Definitely trade numbers with strangers you meet in future. Friends must be made, one harasser not-withstanding.

Make sure that you guys use condoms.

This may be a little off-topic but this country has some weird laws. For example, if someone's gonna rape you and you ask them to at least use condoms (or offer them condoms, can't remember), it's not counted as rape anymore. There was an actual court case on that. :|

Ehhhh the way Hastings made it seem was that Texas was still intolerant. You should be fine.

Don't be intimidated, stick to your guns and if he persists, you don't roll that way. That's that.

Go and bang him, that will teach him.

If you think he's trying to come onto you, then don't do the things he's asking, like watch a movie with him. It's okay to be friendly but don't even answer texts if you think it's too personal.

Just keep it civil. If he doesn't take the hint warn him, if he continues just tell your side of the story to authorities.

Yeah, that's exactly what I did. I texted him that the stuff he was asking about were too personal and didn't respond to any of those questions.

Hmm why don't you talk with some of your other neighbors. Make a bad rep for him. That'll shut him up.

We all know that's not the right thing to do. Plus, god forbid if I get on the wrong side of the fight I'll get into deep trouble for harassing a bisexual, african-american man.

Yeah, I guess that's the right way to go.

Keep the text messages as evidence for the police or court, FYI. Trust me, I'm a Doctor. A Doctor who watches the People's Court.

    That's a great advice. Thanks.
