This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it.

I live in a house and my parents pay a mortgage so...

Queens, New York. 3 bedroom, 1.5 bath (not including the basement, which has a kitchen, bedroom, living room, and full bath) with a driveway (driveway is majorly important in my neighborhood) Parents pay $2300 a month.

That's about what mine was too when I lived in Alabama. Though it was government housing, so the base rent was altered based on the renter's income. I paid as low as $95 a month at one point.

Mine is fixed. Not government or anything. We just got lucky. No real crime or anything in this area.

880-900 AUD a month. Ipswich Queensland, Australia
2 story, 4 bedroom, bathroom + Ensuite house on about 800 square meter block. Water rates included in that amount, no other utilities included.

I get a subsidy via my work, I think roughly the general rent for this place for others would be around 100 more a week.

As a comparison my rent works out to be approx 25%-30% of my income.

Own, not rent. 2,900$ mortgage for a three bedroom plus a converted garage (~1500sqft), but that includes insurance and taxes.

Renting a 2BR 1Bath apt with my brother. Not sure of the squarefootage, it's small but open with vaulted ceilings. Rent is $525/month but split with my bro it's about $260.
