    HC Imperial desperate help

Hi guys, I'm super stumped on this boss. After 60+ wipes I just don't see an end to this boss...

First 3 platforms absolutely fine, boss goes to center we deal with the first attenuation then boss is pulled to one of the pillars, where he casts force and verve. Echo spawns and OT and healer stay behind.

Now, we begin to move the boss over to the entrance during which he always casts mind control and immediately casts attenuation after. During this time the MC player will immediately f the team over with its first move, faster than we can CC obviously. Some of the culprits include:

    • Cone of cold
    • Single target fears
    • Melee hits that hit 8x harder than the average melee hit, which I believe to be impossible
    • AOE fears

All of this usually ends with several players dead, when they run into the orbs/can't move fast enough. We simply can't do anything to help the players, once the computer takes over it's GG. Is there anyway to prevent the boss casting attenuation immediately after or to provide a moment of respite to lock down/break out the MC'd player?

My guild had a lot of p2 issues too It's really all about finding the strat that fits your group.

My guild has really sick dps we shopped all over youtube for a strat and I finally found one we liked. Basically you tank the boss at the bottom of the stairs going to the 3rd platform minimal movement and you dance the attenuation like you would on the 2nd platform. My group can get the boss to 12-18% depending before the first force and verve. After that the tank runs it to the corner to spawn the echo in the corner and then runs it all the way to the enterance steps. Spaces out the attenuation we killed it in the 2nd force and verve.

The mind control you just have to be careful. Try blowing your troubling cooldowns. Have rouges take off crippling ect. After that just break them quickly. If you can't break them quickly leave them till after.

The above video is good, we use a similar strategy with one change. We found keeping the Echo directly on top of the boss caused problems with the Echo tank being too far out after attenuation ended, so it'd start casting Song of the Empress and wipe the raid in fairly short order. So after that first attenuation in the middle, our tank moves the boss to the position in this video (near the pillar to the right of the MC platform). The boss then casts the first Force and Verve, at which point our MT high tails it to the left side of the MC platform (while the boss is casting FnV; the unmitigated tank damage is easily offset by a cooldown). The Echo will drop at the location where he casted FnV (hopefully, lol...it can be glitchy sometimes) then the boss itself will start attenuating on the left side of the MC platform. MT just books to the rest of the raid group which is already waiting near the stairs and it's a simple matter of dancing and staying in bubbles until the kill.

Thanks for the reply! Can you describe the events around the spawning of the echo. It seems like everyone vacates to the middle apart from a tank taking the echo, the boss casts convert and then attenuates in the corner, when you break the mc'd out you taunt the boss over to the entrance and the healer moves in with the offtank.

    Correct?

Yea, this is what people generally do.

After the FnV stack up straight away and get those AoE stuns etc going on the mc's and break them out asap - should be able to do so just as before the channel starts or as the initial rings are spinning out. If you're struggling with doing it in time, and have a DK, get them to grip one of the MC's out and keep them under control while you burst down the other MC which is closer to the boss.

Then the Vizier tank is taking the boss itself over to the other end as you described while everyone else dances around etc

We two healed this, so no offhealer with the echo tank - but it was a prot pally so yea =p

Sorry if my memory is a bit rusty

We had about 90 wipes on this boss. I wish you gave a little more insight as to what you were running with raid comp wise and 2 or 3 heal..... Just like you we would own the first 3 platforms then wipe at about 15% on the dot for about 40 attempts. Use this guide and strat but instead of using 2 healers use 3.....Ironically for the first 89 attempts we were 2 healing it......We accidentally pulled with 3 healers on our "kill" and 1 shot it. Ignore echo its a waste of time. As far as CC's go in 10m you need to break them out ASAP and then immediately run behind the front left pillar as the tank should have dropped him off at the front right pillar right after he casts his first force and verve. Then its rinse and repeat until dead...Keep pillar hopping back and forth till he dies.....gg easy mode. Fuck every other strat trust me.

    Guide Link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DrqE..._KIPYg&index=7 (Don't forget 3 heal not 2!)

P.S. if your wondering how we "accidentally pulled with 3 healers on our kill" its because we were going to have our resto druid switch to boomkin and our spriest switch back to disc. Our priest switched to disc before our resto druid could swap to boomkin and next thing you know our holy pally accidentally pulls via Holy Prism. Instead of wiping it (Thank you fucking jesus) we just went with it and it turned into an absolute jokeee. Especially if a healer dies in p2 when your 2 healing its pretty much an auto wipe at that point.

Put anything on CD that MC players can use right before the conversion hits (ie. Fear bombs, dragonbreaths, disorientes etc).

Also make sure that everyone is far as way as possible from the boss when the first MC starts after p2 starts, this ensures you can break them out before attenutation comes out.

Blow your annoying pvp stuff 3-4 seconds before it goes off as others have said. Also killing the echo isn't a bad idea if it does die and you have half the raid alive or more you win as its basically normal mode from there on.

Here's a bit of a diagram (marvel at my MSPaint skill):

*the top of course being the MC platform

We put a raid marker at the entrance (square) and another basically in front of his attenuation platform (star). Once the first FnV starts casting, the tank moves to the position marked on the right while the raid begins moving towards square (red arrow). He'll MC at this point, just do your best to get them out before the boss starts attenuating at his position to the right. The boss will begin attenuating at his position to the right and the tank will be able to meet the rest of the raid at square. Once the boss gets there, he's either going to attenuate or cast FnV. If he casts attenuate first, you'll have to dance a bit more, if he casts FnV first your healers will need to heal a bit more. He seems to prefer casting FnV first, but be prepared to dance if needed. Once he does begin casting attenuation, we have the raid move to star (green arrow) since that's the clearest position and it's easiest to dodge here. We just move between star and square for the attenuation and FnVs for the rest of the fight. With decent DPS, you shouldn't get more than 2 FnV's and 2 attenuations before he dies.

I should add that using this strategy it makes very little sense to kill the Echo. We tried killing the Echo while we were progressing and always found we'd lose more DPS to stupid shit while trying to kill the Echo than using this strategy, which is essentially a burn strategy for the last phase.

This is how we do it.

    1. Tank boss in middle at start of the fight, dance around him on 1st attenuation
    2. Move boss to X while he does force and verb, raid gets into bubbles around middle of room... as its ending use BLOOD LUST and use all CC, fears, AMS, deterance etc for inc MC.
    3. Echo spawns straight after F+V, so boss tank runs over into the corner at 4..... Raid moves to green zone and starts nuking the fk out of the echo after releasing MC ppl, we normally assign melee to deal with MC'd ppl and ranged on echo, as its kinda tuff for melee to attack the echo (do wotever fits ur raid grp)
    4. Boss starts doing attenuation in the corner, boss tank just runs away to 5 (entrance stairs), boss will follow when its done.
    5. Boss begins to do F+V #2... echo should be dead/almost dead... all raid gets into bubbles and we pop big CD here, tranq, totem, revival, personal cds etc (if echo isnt dead, be prepared to duke some balls while stayin in the bubble)

If you do all this, and the echo is dead... its basically a kill now....

When he does F+V, get into bubbles OBVIOUSLY, then as its ending RUN AWAY to 3 to avoid attenuation. Then run back to boss for F+V again.. this is just rinse and repeat... then ull get a MC at some point, just CC them and do wot u need to do (f+v or attenuation) and release afterwards.

Some guilds ignore echo, but personally If u just kill it u have to deal with some hectic shit for about 30secs, where as ignoring it u not only gotta deal with dbl dance for about 2 mins, u have to have 1 very strong healer to heal raid solo, as well as 1 good healer/tank combo to survive very late F+V bubbles.

Echo doesnt have much HP, its very easy to nuke with lust pots and CDs... we also have a resto druid using HOTW for added burst that helps on the MC ppl
