A guide, somewhere? Or hints and tips please.

Well, I've come back for mop. I have 7 85s (Priest, Shaman, Paladin, Druid, Mage, Warlock & Hunter) and this 90lvl monk. My main is the mage for since when I started playing WoW years ago, but I am VERY open to swapping to a healer.

With this background I think I have much room for choices. Thing is because I am new to MoP, I don't know how things are done. I mean, in wotlk for instance I would grab the tabard of the factions I needed and do dungs for obtaining gear & rep at the same time.

Where do I go now? What do I do? There's nothing in the game to tell you "if you want PvE and head towards raiding, grind these reps out to get gear, then get to LFR" etc. "If you want PvP, get to bgs, get beaten like a duck and two shoted by geared players for 1,5 month and then you might be able to play in arena". "If you want cosmetics and mounts, do this and that, and after X grind time, you will reach exalted and be able to buy Z".

I am completely lost, honestly. What do I do and each for what? What should I go for? Also, how to make gold? I am lost, please help. I have the tendency of going as optimal and min-maxer at my gaming sessions, and in all games I play, so I'd love a detailed guide of how to do X if there is one, or if not at least some hints.

    Thanks in advance.

In general I think I need a guild to tell me "We need THIS class, so play this" to decide what to do. I am playing in Nept-EU (willing to transfer to any faction if necessary)

You answered your own question... I mean in terms of PvE, that's basically what you do. Get gear to do five man heroic dungeons and farm rep with factions via dailies, cap on valor every week and spend it on the biggest upgrades, do LFR as much as you can as soon as you can, and tada, ready for raiding! For PvP and vanity stuff, you're also pretty spot on.

The basic system hasn't changed much from previous iterations of the game, merely the specifics of where to go and how you do certain things... and really the biggest change in terms of that is that you can only do dailies for rep, and that's being changed somewhat in 5.2.

Get AtlasLoot Enhanced or browse Wowhead to see what factions give what gear and strategize from there. You'll want to do Golden Lotus since two factions are locked behind them.

Scenarios will give you some valor as well. Short, easy, queue time is negligible.

You should finish Townlong Steppes (shado-pan reputation) and Dread Wastes (Klaxxi reputation) questing zones as well. Both of those will get you close to honored.

Tabards for factions are not available for now although when 5.2 drops in a few weeks you can run a heroic and do a scenario while representing a faction to gain some additional reputation.

One reason you may be a bit lost are the number of choices you have. There's not one single way to get to raiding gear. There are many ways. You can do a lot of dailies once you get them unlocked if that's your thing (it's not for a lot of people) or run heroics to get to 463 (with maybe some crafted gear) and then get into LFR to continue.

    Good luck.

As for PvP, grind BG's for 1-2 days and you have full gear.. Grind for 1-2 more days and it's all fully upgraded.

    Cheers, good luck.

www.wowhead.com check wich items the bosses in Heroics drop. > or use Atlasloot addon to check. (do your daily Random Heroic)

Check on Wowhead what factions give the gear/stuff you want/need or check this link.

When u have 460 ilevel go do LFR MSV to get the 476 gear u need, and add valors to your weekly cap to buy from factions.

When u have 470 ilevel do the rest of the LFR raids, and arround (imo) 475 u should be able to find a nice PUG for normal raids > or join a guild.

Check http://www.noxxic.com/wow for some easy info about your class, gems/enchants needed, talents and 'rotation' u could use for your talents

If you want to make gold and dont care about top100 raiding, level 2 gathering professions and sell them on AH

    Have fun!

It's more like... Which do I need to grind? I don't the names. I don't know who offers what. For example I knew that Sons of Hodir will give X enchant. I knew why I farming the reps. Now I don't even know WHO are the people I should farm for.

I don't know if I am making sense xD.

For instance, I would go and farm the Argent Tournament rep. Now I don't know where to go to start!

Seems like I need to settle in a char of mine then, huh?

I am ok about rotations dpsing and healing. I am really cool in that regard. I just don't know "how things are done".

On onother note, I'd like a guild tbh :S I play on Neptulon-EU.

It's pretty easy to figure out?

Do ALL the dailies -> Get rep -> get shitty gear
Do heroic dungeons -> get OK gear
Do LFR -> get good gear, with no effort involved

Rinse and repeat until you're fully geared. Anything else?

On every single level 90 you have, make sure to join a Sha raid. Even if you don't get any loot, you can loot a quest item off the corpse that you can turn in to the Shao-pan guys for free ilvl 476 boots. You can actually loot the quest item multiple times, but you can only turn it in once.

All the valor gear reps have guys in your main hub in the Vale. They all have breadcrumbs that send you to the dailies or tell you that you need Revered Golden Lotus rep to unlock their dailies.

    A few things:

    - We don't do "Help Me Choose My Class" threads here. I appreciate that you're unsure of what class to make (and it's your choice to let your guild decide for you), but there is little discussion on that to be had.
    - Take advantage of our guild recruitment forums! There are tons of great guilds out there looking to sign people up right away for raiding, PvP, general leveling, and RP. You can find the right guild easily enough.
