Server Maintenance

For the first time in the 5 1/2 months since the game launched, the servers are going down for scheduled maintenance.

We will be doing scheduled server maintenance on Wednesday February 13th from 12:00 AM – 4:00 AM PST (08:00 – 12:00 GMT). During this period players on both North American and European worlds will not be able to log in. Forums, register.guildwars2.com, and buy.guildwars2.com will also not be available during this time, and the Black Lion Trading Company will not be available until 6:00 AM PST (14:00 GMT).

How unusual.

Seems sorta weird Anet are taking down their servers for such a length of time too. Can't recall how long the GW1 shutdown lasted, or the GW2's shutdown.

Hmm. So many games are patching these next 2 days.

Never been bothered by servers going down on any game, it's such a non issue as long as the times aren't stupid or overly long.

They gotta do what they gotta do. Doesn't affect me, and I've played WoW since it's release, kind of used to these.. Actually surprised this is their first time taking the servers down.

The GW1 servers were only down for ~30 hours, and that was because they were being physically moved!

They weren't physically moving the servers, it was a database transfer.

Lol kinda funny I just re downloaded the game....went to log on and found this out. Was kind of bummed out, but then I saw it was only for 2 hours lol

I can't think of many game companies that don't break stuff when they try to fix things. Blizz does this all the time. You act like this is an unusual occurrence. It's not.

Anyone noticed a bunch of naked bots everywhere? Never happend before, many of them spawn for a second at waypoints / vistas and dissapear then. Many of them are dead. Saw them in Frostgorge Sound, no idea if the Mainenance somehow broke the way bots work.
