It is pretty hard to say when TESO and Wildstar aren't released yet or even in beta so people can try out the performance.

Tera is pretty badly optimized like most MMOs but it runs fine on my GTX 670. Skyrim should be fine on a 7870XT or 660TI but I have no clue how much the mods effect performance.

I just bought a 7970ghz edition, and I'd recommend it as well if you want to play Crysis 3 or Bioshock Infinite because they both are free with any 7950+ AMD card right now. If you dont want either of those games, then get a gtx 670.

Ive had great success with my 7950. I would definitely recommend one. I have a Gigabyte Windforce 3, but I hear the Asus and MSI ones are great too.

I think if you want to play games on ultra at 1080p, a GTX 670 or Radeon HD 7950 would be the best to go with.

Had zero problems playing games on ultra with one 670 FTW at 1080p and only upgraded to SLI when I went to a 1440p display.

Afaik...and I may be incorrect, but I'm pretty sure that CPU will not work as intended with > ddr3 1600 ram. I believe it scales it back due to voltage issues.

Uh, nope. As long as the motherboard supports overclocked Ram it will work.

Bit offtopic, but I just love how I bought a radeon 7950 (gigabyte) this month, and didn't get any free games. (Yeah, firefall is listed on the box. Which is an F2P game... -_-)

Make sure to check if they're actually offering it at the store you're buying the card. IF you end up choosing this camp, ofcourse.

AAA MMO's of the past has tended to favour Nvidia. Looking at your game list I would recommend a GTX660ti or GTX670. I know AMD gives better performance/dollar but in those particular games I see a clear Nvidia advantage. Knowing MMO's usually don't require the most high-end gpu out there, I would even recommend the GTX660 which is the best mid range gaming card out there when comparing performance/price.

I like Gigabyte or Sapphire with one of their better custom cooling solutions on it.
