If you had a house anywhere in game, where would your character live?
My Mage would most likely live in Dalaran. While I am Forsaken, I am still a supporter of the Kirin Tor. If that wasn't an option, than either Brill or the Undercity.

Booty Bay. Good trade route. Plenty of work. Lots of different people coming in.
Tauren Shammy would live on one of the floating rocks in Nagrand
Belf warlock would have a awesome house in Silvermoon.
Tauren Paladin would Live in Mulgore in Bloodhoof Village
My main, a belf paladin would have a house in Silvermoon. I've always loved that city. If not in Silvermoon then he'd live in Nagrand somewhere
Thanks to Shyama for this beautiful signature <3
Tauren Sunwalker. Would live on the plains of Mulgore.
Goblin Mage (also my filthy rich banker) in Booty Bay.
Orc Warlock would live in Thrallmar, Hellfire Peninsula.
Icecrown Citadel. Yes it is no longer occupied, so it's basically a castle to yourself.
Anywhere In Grizzly Hills - preferably at one of the little camps... It is the true definition of a 'fantasy' game everytime I enter Grizzly Hills
Death Knell, protecting it and the new recruits into the service of our leader!
My human would wander the land in search of annoying people to cut their tongue off
Nagrand. There'd be nothing better than waking up each morning to the beautiful, rolling, green and yellow plains. Never skipped over Nagrand while leveling because of how purdy and serene I found it.
While my main is a Blood Elf Paladin, I would not actually reside in Silvermoon City. Instead, I was thinking of not having a fixed home, and instead working with The Reliquary in it's archaeological pursuits across Azeroth. See the sights in a different manner, put my combat skills to use defending those who may not be able to. Sounds like a nice, quieter life to me.
Games are not necessarily "easier" today. You are just a better player.
It takes more now to impress many gamers than it did 2-5 years ago, because so much has already been seen and done.
Many players expect to be wow'd with every release of a beloved franchise.
These are generally NOT the fault of the developers, but the fault of many players over-hyping and/or setting expectations too high.
As a Troll Druid, I'd build the biggest house possible, right on the lake shore in Moonglade, only to piss off the tree-huggers.. ;-)
Fact (because I say so): TBC > Cata > Legion > ShaLa > MoP > DF > BfA > WoD = WotLK
My pet collection --> http://www.warcraftpets.com/collection/FuxieDK/
My rogue wold have no home, and wander endlessly in the listlessness of undeath; saving the lives of Alliance and Horde alike without ever revealing his presence.
My mage would be in dalaran studying, and my druid would be wherever Malfurion was, helping out.

As a Draenei paladin, inside the Exodar.
Home in Brill, but maintain dwellings in Undercity (home away from home), Shadowprey Village, Vengeance Landing, Silvermoon, Shadowmoon Village
I am the one who knocks ... because I need your permission to enter.
