Tanking Question

I have heard from someone in one of my daily heroics that there is a way to quickly mark targets with Skull, X, Diamond, and Moon. Would it be done in key bindings make the shift+f1, shift+f2, and shift+f3? Or do I have to down load a mod that lets me assign key bindings. I have just started to tank so have people dps the right things would be a help (and yes i have had to deal with the people that are like go go go, and we die cause of them ).

theres macros for marking a target. i cannot remember the actualy macro, but can try look for it quick

found it, adding the macro with numbers now

/run SetRaidTarget("target", 1)
feel free to replace "1" with any of the following numbers
numbers with the sign of target:
1 = star
2 = circle
3 = diamond
4 = triangle
5 = moon
6 = square
7 = cross
8 = skull

Yes, the fastest is with keybindings...i have skull on "z" for example.

/target Animated Protector
/run SetRaidTarget(Animated Protector, 8
/rw Kill {skull}

Just assign your desired keys in the Keybind section of wow.

I assigned F1-F4 for marks for example.

Actually the Bossmod should do it anyway...the marking at least.

go to key bindings, find section called "Target Markers". There will be things like Assign to Star to Target, Assign Circle to target etc. Just bind those to buttons.. I use F1-F8

Thanks so much last time i tanked it was 1.6 and we did not have the "Target Markers".
